Teenage son was very pleased with them. When I asked him if he through the tips would come off his answer was that they all come off eventually. I like that although I can still here him beating on everything its muted a bit. These are definitely more geared to marching band as the sticks are heavier.

Very good practice sticks... rubber heads allow use on most hard surfaces when practice pads are not available. Extra weight great for wrist strength and stamina development.

Heavy, great for building chops. the rubber tips help a little with sound but not a ton. The wood and finish look very nice, I keep these in my backpack and bust them out anytime to quickly get a workout.

I love Vic Firth marching sticks, but the rubber tip is not as durable as I would expect from this manufacturer.

These sticks have a great weight to them and not much rebound. Just play with them through one exercise and you'll already feel a burn. If you're deciding between these and the Sco-Jo's, choose Ralph.

My son is a drummer and loves anything that he uses for his drums.

I have had these for only about two weeks, and the rubber tip on one stick ripped.
