Works great
No smell at all from this. We had the smaller Janibell can and it worked okay but just didn’t keep the smell down as much as we wanted.

If you have diapers in your house this is a must have!
Love this product! I have a 16 yr old son who is disabled and before getting this life was not fun with adult sized diapers. At least not in the summer! Winter here in MN you can put the trash right out and it just freezes preventing odors but summer is terrible if you don't have a product like this. No more stink in the house or garage! This is the 2nd one I purchased. First one worked great and I loved it but wished I would have ordered a bigger one so that I didn't have to empty it mid week. This particular model holds everything for a week and I just empty it every trash pick up day. I keep it right in my sons room and there is zero odor coming from it even if he has loose stools. Very easy to empty and very easy to install the bag refill. I would recommend these for anyone using diapers or briefs for babies to adults/senior ect. Great product!

May work well for high volume environments but...
I have twin 9 month old boys and we used to have the “First Years Clean Air Diaper Disposal System” (http://www.amazon.com/The-First-Years-Diaper-Disposal/dp/B000K4YSZO/) which worked very well but the hinge broke on the lid. The other issue was that we were having was the garbage bag filled up quickly and needed to be changed often. So, when I saw the great reviews on Amazon about this product and the fact that we wouldn’t have to change out the bag as often I thought “how cool"…I think in a day care center or other facility that is filling this up over the course of a few (3-5) days, it would work out fine. But we were using it for about a week and every time we popped open the lid and tossed in a diaper it became pretty smelly. Strangely, this also “hung” in the room for a while even with the fan on, not sure why.I like the design and the ease at which you can change out the bag is great, but there really isn’t any “seal” on the round opening under the lid, or the rectangular lid that flips up when stepping on the foot peddle. If these had some kind of rubber seal maybe it wouldn’t smell as much when filling it up takes more than just a few days.The product is made well but my application may not be the best fit. At this point we’ll probably just change the bag a little more often than when it gets full. On a positive note, the way the bag is setup, changing it more often does not waste the bag space. You cut the bag to fit how much is used (there’s a video on the website you can watch that shows this).I’m curious if anyone else has had similar experiences…

Vastly Superior to Cheaper Alternatives
With my third baby, I went searching for a disposable diaper solution that actually worked. I have tried just about all the mass-market products, and all of them were, in my estimation, only slightly better than a simple trash can with a lid when it came to containing diaper odor. I came across this model after some research, and decided to give it a shot notwithstanding its far higher cost. After 6 weeks of use, I can confirm that the combination of effectiveness, ease of use and quality of construction easily justified the extra expense. Odor is very effectively contained by the dual-lid system. The ABS construction and metal components have a very solid, "commercial" feel to them. Tying off, cutting and replacing bag sections is a breeze, and the fact that you select the size means there is virtually no waste of (biodegradable!) bag material. Overall, we are more than satisfied with the Janibell M400DS.

Doesn’t contain smell.
My 10 year old granddaughter is paraplegic and must use diapers. I wrap soiled diapers in plastic bags and then drop them into the Jakibelle. The odor is not contained any better than a plastic trash can with a lid. NOT worth the money.

It is everything it promises.
This is so convenient for me to change and empty at the same time. It saves my loved one from embarrassment. The things disposed of are invisible and oderless. Thank you Janibell.

Not odor-free
Don't waste your money if you are looking for odor-free... This is a great trashcan for diapers (we have an almost 2 yr old) but does nothing to keep the odor from seeping throughout his entire room. We toss the bag every few days, so it's not even like we have poop diapers hanging around for that long. Keep looking...Eta: Now I see that I can't even purchase the liners on Amazon to replace them when I run out. I am changing my rating from 2 stars to 1. So disappointed in this purchase.
