Vivobarefoot Women's Kolhapuri Elegant Sandal

First let me explain why I say that these sandals do not provide good arch support. The barefoot experience is about trying to wear footwear that is as close to barefoot as possible. The idea is that your arch will strengthen without support and for me - that is exactly what happened. I started this barefoot experience over a year ago. I had fallen arches, three surgeries on my feet and my left foot was headed toward another surgery. I was desperate. I heard going barefoot was very good for your feet but can't stand being barefoot even in my own home - so I tried to find the next best thing.Within months - and using "Correct Toes", the hammer toe that was forming on my left foot is all but gone - my arches aren't fallen any more and I can go for hours and hours in this minimalist type of footwear from the moment I put the sandals or shoes on. I wear - Xero sandals in the summer - as well as the Vivobarefoot sandals here. In the Winter I wear Soft Star Shoes and it has made all the difference in the world for my feet.These sandals are to date - THE most comfortable minimalist or barefoot sandals I have ever worn or bought. Plus they are SO beautifully made. The leather is solid and thick enough to be solid but with a feel like suede. It's difficult to explain. They look great too - and go with anything you'd want to wear. I love Birkenstock and still have a number of pairs of them however - Vivobarefoot teaches your toes to grip again, and your arches to become stronger and support your foot more. When we wear Birkenstock (for instance) your foot doesn't flex and your arch is already supported so it doesn't have to strengthen. So I only wear my Birkis every now and again these days. These Kolhapuri Sandals are gorgeous and comfortable from the moment I put them on my feet. LOVE them!

I had these sandals on my wish list for the summer and missed out on them. When they became available this winter i went ahead and bought them. I'm glad I did. They are the nicest sandals I've ever owned. The leather is soft and high quality. There is actually a little more arch support than other barefoot sandals I've had, though in all honesty, I don't need arch support, so your mileage may vary. They fit to my foot like a glove and are so pretty I didn't pack dress sandals for my cruise. The only sadness was that I couldn't go back and order the brown because they were out of stock. I ordered a less pretty pair from Xero shoes however and expect they will be fine. If you want a secure barefoot sandal that is pretty enough for casual dinner dresses then this is it.

So far I am loving it! My friend got me started on vivobarefoot brand shoes because he has been wearing them for a long time. I know how important it is to wear shoes that are good for your feet. Birkenstocks have been my go to sandals for years now & they never made my feet hurt but when I found out about how healthy these shoes were for your feet I wanted to give them a try. Now I find it hard to go back to wearing my Birkenstocks even if it's just for a day because these are so comfy in a different way. I wear a 7.5 almost always in US shoes so I ordered the 38, they fit just right. In Birkenstocks I wear a 37 so I was worried I was ordering a size too big but no they fit perfect, any smaller and I couldn't have worn them. The toe loop is too big for my toe but it doesn't seem to matter, the shoes stay on well when I walk. They took some getting used to. I have to admit the first 5 min. of wearing them I wanted to send them back. Then I decided to give them a second try and they were amazing and comfy! I hope they last a long time. Now I want to try their running shoes next!

These sandals are really cute and I love the way they look and love the barefoot concept. However, after wearing them for only a hour or so, my feet are on FIRE! I don't know if I'm allergic to the material or what, but my feet literally feel like they are on fire! I love to go barefoot so I thought this would give me the same barefoot experience... but for me... it is no where close to being barefoot. In my opinion, they are way overpriced as well.

I love wearing these sandals, it's like being barefoot with just enough protection for the bottom of my feet. These sandals are flexible, comfortable and stay on securely because of the Velcro strap on the heel. I wear a size 6.5 and they fit perfectly. I've been wearing flat sandals and shoes to make my feet more flexible, it really helps.

Cute,beautifully made and comfortable. All the edges of the leather are sanded down and rounded, so I didn't have any trouble with anything rubbing, though at first I thought I would, because I could feel the toe loop. However, after one day of only wearing them around the house, I took them out for a 45 min walk and they were fine!

Love them! But understand they are very flat and have no cushion to them. More arch support than you would think because of how the strap is constructed.

So, I’m in love with barefoot shoes, these were purchased for the office and they look lovely.. they do take some breaking in on the big toe I found... perfectly comfy for half the day and then a bit uncomfortable in the afternoon. They’re leather though so I’m sure they will loosen up a little... apart from that they’re great!

Extrem schnelle Lieferung!Super Schuh, läuft sich klasse, die ersten Zehen Sandalen meines Lebens -bei grundsätzlich komplizierten und sehr empfindlichen Füßen. Vor allem im Zwischenzehenbereich sehr angenehm, was mich bislang bei ALLEN anderen zehenschuhen schon beim anprobieren massiv gestört hat! Das Leder wird weicher bei Benutzung leiert aber nicht aus... Pluspunkt!!Leider ist nach 3 Wochen campen und einigen Kilometern in Städten am inneren Fuß ein Lederstück des "Futters" bereits lose...wahrscheinlich einfach nicht in die Sohle eingearbeitet weil zu kurz? Die Gegenseite ist unversehrt... der Schuster meines Vertrauens wird es richten...Färben ein bisschen ab beim schwitzen, sehen edel am Fuß aus. Daher ein Stern weniger.Lassen sich auch einfach mit Gesichtscreme wieder aufhübschen, (ganz ins Wasser habe ich mir nicht geraut...)wenn total eingestaubt...Vivobarefoot ist für mich die Entdeckung für Schuhe bislang überhaupt, habe noch den Motus für's gym auch dort leichte Veratbeitungsfehler (Klebestelle am Klett teilt sich) mit bisschen vorsichtigem An- und ausziehen kein Problem, also trotzdem geniale Schuhe- nie bessere gehabt Halt, Sitz am Fuß, Elastizität Laufgefühl, Kontrolle des Fußes am Boden bei Sprüngen (und Landungen) alles top!!!

La piel es de muy buena calidad, sobre todo que la planta sea de piel se agradece porque hace la sandalia muy cómoda. Pero yo tengo el empeine alto y me aprieta mucho la tira que va sobre él, además la tira que se ajusta en el talón es muy corta y llega muy justa a la zona de velcro, así que he tenido que devolverlas. Una pena

Super Leder, schöner Schnitt, sehr komfortabel. Wenn sie halten, was ja zwei Vorgänger bemängelt haben, wären sie großartig.Bisschen dicke Sohle, aber sie sind nur als Notschuhe gedacht, laufe eh barfuss. Die Zehenschlaufe ist breit genug, um bequem reinzuschlüpfen. Passt gut zu Jeansshorts, Jeansrock. Chic und bequem.

Rein optisch hat mich dieser Schuh sofort begeistert, vom Tragen her musste ich mich erst umgewöhnen (trägt sich anders als Flop Flops aber besser) Inzwischen ist er einer meiner Favoriten. Durch die verstellbaren Riemchen lässt sich die Grösse und der Halt im Schuh für den Fuß wunderbar anpassen

leider waren die Schuhe nicht gleichmäßig verarbeitet, so war die eine Sohle um gut 3cm kürzer, das ist bei Barefoot Schuhen eine Menge, und konnten nicht getragen werden, wurden wieder zurück geschickt, Sendung war aber schnell da und gut verpackt mit Rücksende Schein, alles kein Problem.
