We moved to our new place last year, and always wanted to setup a home theater for watching movies. We got a projector because we thought the TV screen is too small for movies and we didn't want to buy a huge TV because it will take too much room. We've been projecting on the wall, which is not great for image quality. So after some thoughts, we finally decide to get a automatic projector screen. This Vividstorm projector screen is not cheap, but after using it for awhile I can say it's definitely worth it. The projector is very heavy, and the metal it use is high quality and thick metal. Because of the weight, it was pretty difficult to installed and trying hocked to the brackets. To be honest, I was kind of worried about it will fall down because of the heavy weight. But it was pretty stationary when running the motor up and down.The image quality is great, resolution is definitely better than I expected. And the screen itself is pretty robusted, when we were installing it, we had the screen laying on the ground, and when we didn't notice our go with sharp nail walked on it and I was like the nails will tear the screen, but no, the screen is thick and robust and was not damaged a bit.It has three different ways to control the screen. There is a wire control connected to projector screen itself , there is RF remote control and IR remote control. The IR remote control is like any other regular TV remote controls where you have to point the remote control directly at the wire control in order for it to work. For RF remote control, you don't have to point at the wire control, which is great.Overall, this projector screen is little pricey, but if you want a high quality one, it is a good choice.

I’m very impressed with the quality of the screen, the packaging it arrived in and the price. Unlike some of the other reviewers who commented on damage from shipping, my 100” mortar tab-tensioned screen arrived undamaged and with extra reinforcing L-shaped cardboard strips along each of the long corners for extra protection. A shipper would have to really mishandle the package to damage it. The screen was easy to install (with a second person to help you set it on the wall brackets) and works great. And compared to some other more well known brands, the price was great, also. When the screen first starts to unwind, you can see some small waves in the fabric, but once it reaches the full-open position, I can’t see a single wave and it appears perfectly flat.If there were any complaints at all, it was that the color-matched power cord is a few feet shorter than I would have liked and that you have to install the cable-connected wall switch for the screen to operate even though I would prefer to just use one of the remotes. That said, I wouldn’t ding it a star for that. For the short time that I’ve had the screen, it definitely seems like a 5 star product given the quality and pricing.

100" mortar mount tensioned screen arrived quickly. I give it 3 stars due to the extra work I had to put into the screen to get it smooth. Otherwise its a solid 4, maybe even 5 star screen since it will save you lots of money. The seller did say I could return the screen, but after a bit of work, I am pleased with it. The screen was shifted to one side at the bottom and material was wrinkled, but I disassembled the bottom bar and stretched back out. Material seemed to stretch back after 1 or 2 days of hanging. It seemed like someone dropped the screen on the end and caused this to happen, otherwise this would have been very noticeable when they put it together. There are also some slight horizontal wrinkles that repeat several times down the screen, but have gotten better since I have left hanging for awhile. They are not noticeable when an image is projected on the screen. I had the same problem (even a little worse) with another brand screen that cost a lot more and returned that one. I am pleased with the look and function of this screen especially for the money saved. I hope to enjoy it for a long time.

I love this screen - it looks much better than my previous screen, lays flat, and the electric drop is super cool. I've been using it for a couple of months now.With the 12V trigger, the screen automatically drops or retracts when projector turns off or on, no need for the hardwired switch - very convenient. It's a little noisy, but doesn't really bug me, and I have not experienced any other electric drop screen to compare with.The image is bright and beautiful looking. The edge tensioners do a good job of keeping the screen very flat - probably not perfectly flat, but without the noticeable curve of my previous screen.Mounting was pretty simple. There are two L-brackets with small hanging channels on them, which can be mounted to the wall or ceiling. After mounting the brackets, you can just lift the screen casing up and lock it into the channels. Measure two times to get the brackets really square with the room, but you have some flexibility in that the screen casing can slide horizontally (left/right) after mounting. Very convenient for perfectly lining up the screen with the projector after mounting!Sadly there are a couple of scratches on on corner of screen's projection surface. These presumably happened during shipping, but the projector stayed in the box for a month while I was preparing my new home, so it was too late to return via Amazon. I tried to contact the manufacturer after the fact, but never got a response. Although the scratches look very significant up-close, luckily they seem completely unnoticeable from viewing distance, so I'm only taking off one star. Would have been five stars without the scratches!

Was hesitant to order it due to other reviews I had read but I'm glad I did. No dents during Shipping. Great picture quality. Wireless remote works great. I just can't get the 12v trigger to work on my optoma hd27e. IDK if it's a trigger problem or my projector

Great price, easy to install! Would give it 5 stars but the 12V wireless trigger only works with 3.5 mm. Ours is a DC plug (like the picture) so we can’t enjoy this feature. Unless there’s a workaround?

I’m in the business of designing and executing home theatre installations.I have access to a variety of stores and warehouses in Canada and the United States and I’m properly selecting the right audio-video equipment for my clients. I have installed many different types of projection screens.Many of them are very expensive from well known companies.After installing and testing this screen I was very impressed with quality and overall experience. The casing is solid and it’s a little smaller and lighter then most of the competitors.Engine operates smoothly and quietly.The material is of the high quality with a little to none visible texture, so 4K footage looks great on this screen.One big difference with other high quality tab-tensioned screen is that this screen doesn’t have regulation of the tension of the screen. Instead the side lines are elastic, so they provide proper tension to keep the material flat.In my opinion it is not worth to spend extra $500-600, on other screens just to have that tension adjustment option. I would rather spend that money on better quality projector.Screen comes with mounting brackets and have every possible mounting option, same as any of the most expensive screens that I’ve installed. Also adjustment of hight/drop is very easy and there is no need to take down the screen in order to make the adjustments, like other review suggesting. Adjusting tool which comes with the screen is made from elastic-plastic, so it can be bend it to any angle and easily inserted to adjusting holes.I only had an issue with remote control which had to be reprogrammed.After emailing the company’s customer support, I quickly received instructions of how to program the remote. No issue after programming and next day their customer support send me follow up email of how my remote works.I think there aren’t many companies out there with that great level of customer service.My client is also very happy with this purchase.

This screen finishes off my theatre room beautifully. Easy operation up and down, trigger works well with the projector I purchased. Very easy to clean. Low lighting in the theatre room doesn’t effect the picture quality at all and can be viewed from any angle. This screen came well packed and had no damages when arrived. Overall I would recommend this screen.

The remote doesn’t sync with the screen ,and the screen has glossy horizontal lines thru it. Not thrilled as I was unable to find out about these problems until after I was finished the install. The positive about this screen was it was well packaged and installation was easy.
