Oxford Garden Shorea End Table | 100% Tropical Shorea Hardwood Outdoor Furniture

I will start off by saying that this is one sturdy little table. It only required the legs to be attached, so it was an easy build. The problems occurred when I went to use some teak oil on it. I had not realized that there was a very clever veneer covering up a fairly large knot on the TOP of the table. This would not have been an issue, if the oil did not dissolve the glue that the veneer was attached with--The veneer lifted and peeled within moments. :( However, since I had stained the table and was unable to return it to Amazon and because I am just a little bit stubborn, I allowed the table to weather for a few more months then sanded it down and stained it a lovely espresso colour. Knots and all, it is one pretty little table. I do not regret this purchase.

I returned the first table I received as one of the legs had a visible and long crack. The second table has a stain the size of my fist on the top that was only evident after I washed the table -when it got wet- so I cannot return now (and also can't be bothered). I am hoping the stain will be camouflaged by the natural aging of the table, but annoying to get a stain out of the box in a table of this price.

Any piece of furniture that you have to stain or paint never looks as good as a finished product purchased online or in a store. I was forewarned by a friend not to buy raw wood. It is a production to get this table looking good. It is a cute table but it would be so much better if it were already stained or painted. It is, however, very well-made.

I needed a couple of side tables for some teak benches I have and I decided to try these. I liked the styling, very simple. They are well made and quite heavy. I think they are a nice alternative to more expensive teak and according to the details about these pieces they also turn a silver gray like the teak. I like to let them weather that is why I buy teak, and shorea is a similar wood.

Very nice product. We bought benches for an animal hospital 10 years ago from same company and they still look great. High use all day 6- days a week. So we bought this to go with others. We do keep them indoors though so not sure how they would fare outside.

I ordered two of these tables. They arrive with the legs removed. In a very easy assembly step, each leg is attached with a washer and nut. 7 of the 8 legs attached easily, but one of the bolts was not attached correctly. I tryed glue, but it didn't work. Had to go to Lowes and buy a stainless steel bolt. It cost $2.50. They were packed 2 though so it cost me $5. My fix worked great. It was easier than returning the defective table.Overall they seem to be of high quality, sturdy and level. I just put teak oil on them. We will see how they do oceanside! Seems to be good value for the price.

Compared to teak this furniture is very reasonably priced, yet it looks just like its more expensive cousin. It went together in about five minutes with no effort. Outstanding. Fit and finish was perfect. I would highly recommend this product.As with teak wood, this product will age to a silvery gray color. If you like the natural wood tone, just finish it with teak oil about once a year (I did this before I put it on my porch eight months ago and it still looks great.

Great table but only gave four stars as the package was supposed to contain all the hardware to put the table together but did not as there was not a wrench. It is a nice and sturdy outdoor table but I was annoyed at not having the appropriate hardware as promised.
