This is magical elastic string, tough to break even though it is so thin. It works well with beads that have tiny holes and much easier to pull thru the holes than using other thin flat strings with the same diameter. I like the other fact that it is also Clear, or comes in Black color as well. Happy purchase as now I can re-string and modify all my beady bracelets to fit my small writs.

I love Streatch Magic Bead Cord! It’s the perfect cord for making bracelets and anklets. The cord is incredibly strong and durable—I’ve never had it break. It works especially well with size 11 beads, making it easy to create clean, professional-looking jewelry. The cord has just the right amount of stretch. It has a little give so it’s comfortable to wear, but not so much that the bracelet stretches out or becomes too loose over time. I've tried a lot of stretch cords, and Stretch Magic is still my product of choice. Even the 0.5 mm is pretty strong - stronger than you would think for such a small diameter. I typically double the cord when possible to make bracelets even stronger, and I've never had one break yet (knock on wood). I would caution that it is important to tie multiple knots when finishing off a bracelet - I usually do about five or more surgeon's knots near a bead with one of the largest holes, so I can tuck the knot inside to hide it. I like the fact that it is clear so you don't have to worry about a color influencing your design, however sometimes I wish there were different colors available to enhance the appearance of the finished product. Overall, it's a great value for the money. I bought the 100-meter version, and the price per foot is minuscule.

Works well in general. I just need to learn to tie more kinds of knots. Because this is slippery and doesn’t always stay the way I need it for my jewelry and bedazzling arts and crafts. 🪢

Very strong elastic thread. I’m able to pull it very tight and it still hold together at the knot. I do tie a double to triple knot to be sure. I haven’t even needed to use elastic knot glue since the quality is so nice. It’s extremely easy to use and will thread great in most beads. It’s lightweight enough to carry the whole spool with you for crafting on the go, and older kids would have a blast making bracelets or necklaces with it.

This Elastic Cord is thin but sturdy and strong! I use it for hanging Christmas ornaments I make. I stretch the cording before tying it with a surgeons' knot and the cording has not snapped/broken when I pull it. The cording is crystal clear in appearance and is stiff enough to easily thread through the holes in my ornaments yet is soft enough to drape nicely. I will continue to buy this as I run out and need more.

I bought the 0.7 mm diameter stretch cord without checking to see how wide the holes in my beads were, but it turns out this was perfect. And you get so much of it! I won't have to buy it again for a long time. This is stiff enough that you don't need a needle, which is good, and it is very easy to use to quickly make stretch bracelets. In just 5 minutes, with a handful of gemstone rounds, you can have a finished piece. It is very easy to cut with scissors. To secure the ends of the bracelet, I tie a couple of knots and, just to be extra cautious, I put a dot of glue (several kinds will work) on the knot to hold it. You may want to avoid putting machine cut crystals or any beads with particularly sharp edges around the holes on this type of cord as the edges may cut into the cord over time. (Use Accuflex or memory wire to make bracelets with those types of beads, instead.) I used to use this product many years ago and I find that it holds up to at least several years of use, but that it does not last forever (whether the jewelry is worn every day or not). I accept that this is a property of all stretchy elastic type cords and, if a particularly favored bracelet gets a bit old, I do restring it. Polymers wear out over time, that's just the nature of them to do so. But this should get you several good years of use before you have to think about that. I find the 0.7 mm diameter cord to be sturdy enough to hold a whole bracelet's worth of gemstone beads, which are probably the heaviest beads I would ever use on this anyway. I have also used this to repair inexpensive commercial stretch bracelets that are not strung properly (it happens). Anyway, this spool will last me a very long time and this product appears to still have the same good quality of manufacture today that it did years ago.

Great elastic for making bead bracelets. Strong and won’t break easily. Remember to pre-stretch the elastic before you thread the beads.

I've been buying as many of these elastic cords/strings as I can find on Amazon and this one BY FAR is the winner. The strength astounds me. I will only buy stretch magic from now on. It also has the best appearance from other strings I have used. And since it's 0.7mm I'm able to thread all the gemstone beads I have. I'm very thrilled to finally find one I'm confident will last a long time. I made a brief review of the different cords I bought from Amazon on episode 5 of our podcast KeyesCast.
