I have use this to clone 3 ssd to different devices such as:-ASUS laptop-LENOVO FLEX 2-15-HP PAVILION desktopAll of them SATA 3 connection and have had not a problem whatsoever with the cable.

I took a chance on this since it was so inexpensive - but it's cheap for a reason - this adapter was dead on arrival - there was an electrical short somewhere in the power connector or feed that would put any power adapter connected to it into instant overload.

Great product for doing work with bare hdds

This is exactly the adapter I needed for my application. I wanted to retrieve old photos off a hard drive I had over a decade ago.

Product was exactly as advertised, worked to clone a HDD to SDD through USB port.
