Tenba Messenger Removable Photo Insert - Gray (638-251)

I bought this so I wouldn't have to lug around a camera bag. I use this mostly in a messenger bags and despite the "messenger bag" explicitly in the title of the product, I have used it in a couple of back packs as well. With the adjustable dividers, it can fit your gear as it changes.I bought this for a Canon 5D II, and a couple of lenses originally. But as my lens collection grew, including a 70-200mm zoom this bag was adjusted and fit them all and the camera (attached to the 70-200)*.The only minor issue is that when I bought a grip for the 5D, I could no longer fit it efficiently in the bag. I either had to detach any attached lens, or detach the grip. You can still get it to fit without doing those two things, but then the insert starts bulging out and subsequently so does the whatever bag you have it in.Padding is good. Not super thick, but it's on the bottom too and I haven't had issue with gear damage.*the footnote here is that when I attached the 70-200 to the camera, I'd insert it lens down, and in doing so, the camera would be a bit proud of the top of the bag. Fine for my purposes, but if you're looking for more solid protection, this may not be your best option. I mean, there is enough room to but the lens and camera in sideways, but then you're really limiting what else you can put in the bag.OK I've rambled on enough. Hope you find this useful.

Great insert! Just received it. I can fit a Nikon body with 24-70 lens (lens down) into the insert and still have 2” to spare at the top. I also have my flash in the next pocket over with room to spare for an additional lens. I went with this insert over other ones due to the sides of the insert being reinforced. This insert can stand alone and doesn’t need the sides of a bag to keep it standing. Great purchase especially for the cost. I can use any bag for this insert. The only reason why I took 1 star off is because it would be great if it had a padded top to the insert.

This is a well designed and well made camera insert. It has three large silos, two of which can be subdivided with the included dividers. The middle dividers have flaps at the top so a camera can be inserted into the center silo lens-down.The insert fits perfectly into a Domke F-802 Satchel. Almost like it was made for it. It also fits into a couple of other larger shoulder bags that I already own. It does *not* fit into a standard Timbuk2 messenger bag, as the insert is too large.

If you want a simple no frills low tech insert to convert an existing messenger bag into a camera bag, this is the ideal one. It's on the larger side and can handle a DSLR with three lenses.This is one of the sturdiest inserts I've handled. Most inserts don't hold their shape very well and tend to collapse on you when you're trying to access your gear while on the go. This insert won't hold its shape forever, but you should be able to get at least a couple of good years out of this. I've added cork boards inside mine to further extend its life.

I bought this insert so I could put my heavy Canon gear in my wheeled under-the-seat bag, since carrying my gear is tough on my shoulders and back. It worked perfectly and held my Canon EOS 60D with 24-105L lens attached, my 10-18mm lens, and my 70-300L lens. The only reason it's not a 5-star insert is because it doesn't have a flap to cover and secure the contents. I could Velcro my own on and might. But I was thrilled to find one tall enough to protect a lens as long as my telephoto. This would work well in a messenger or tote bag as well, even a wide purse.

Just about ALL of the camera bags I've seen on the market scream "I am a camera bag with expensive equipment inside, come steal me."This insert is perfect for turning a messenger/tote bag into a camera bag. Specifically I use this to bring a Nikon D3000 plus extra lens, a small Rocket Air blaster, Kodak Zi8 vid cam- LED light and lav mic and it stores it all.The interior dividers have velcro and are a plenty, allowing you to configure the inside to your needs. I just wish there was a thicker padding at the bottom. Some mesh pockets on the outside for more organization options for things like spare cards and the like would also be nice.I couple this insert with the Timbuk2 D-Lux Messenger back(2012) version to make what I call the perfect camera bag. You can read my review on that bag to find out why. Don't waste your $$ on those overpriced camera bags, get this insert instead.

My small photography business started to pick up steam, and I found myself acquiring more and more photography gear and hot shoe flashes :) I needed an extra camera bag to transport all of my photo gear, and the local camera store wanted about $200 for a camera bag that was large enough to transport 4 hot shoe flashes and an extra lens or two. I went home from the photography store disappointed that I didn't have enough funding for a camera bag because I had spent my funding on hot shoe flashes--sort of ironic I know :) Long story short--after mulling over my problem--I noticed that my old college messenger bag was exactly the same size as one of the camera bags that I saw at the local photography store--I decided to do a search on camera bag holders/dividers and I found this awesome bag insert. My old messenger bag is now my favorite photo bag :)

Really fantastic insert. It's a nice lighter gray so you won't easily lose your stuff but it also doesn't draw any attention with bright neon colors like other cases.For those wondering, the measurements are 13*9*4.5-5 (Length*height*width/depth in inches), so it would definitely fit most messenger bags well. Since it is a super dense foam though, it sticks to its rectangular shape pretty solidly. The inserts are really easy to velcro where you need them to be, depending on your equipment. I was able to fit my T3i with stock lens and a hood mounted on it, another 250 lens and various extra additions in this thing.It didn't quite fit my needs since I had a smaller bag, but this thing is really solid and definitely has the protection you need from knocks and dings.

Der Klettverschluss, der die Unterteilungen an der äußeren Hülle fest hält, fixiert alles sehr gut. Die Polsterung ist ausreichend und qualitativ sehr gut.Die Außenmaße des Inlays sind gut bemessen, so passt das Inlay in eine typische Eastpack Messenger-Umhängetasche ohne viel gequetsche perfekt hinein. Es fällt also kaum auf, dass man teures Kamera-Equipment mit sich führt. Das Inlay bietet genügend Stauraum für einen Tagesausflug. Es passt locker sein: Canon 5D M3 (füllt die Breite voll aus) mit Standart-Zoom Objektiv, Ersatzakku und Ladegerät, USB Kabel, Sony Kompaktkamera DSC HX9V, ein weiteres Objektiv 50 mm, ein kleines Linsen-Reinigungsset und ein Blitzgerät (falls notwendig)Achtung:Verwendet man ein Objektiv wie das EF 70-200mm L IS USM (oder eines mit ähnlicher Baulänge), dann kann man dieses nicht an der Kamera montiert verstauen - das wird schlichtweg zu lang. Genügend Platz im zusätzlichen Objektivfachhat es aber auf jeden Fall.Die 5D Mark3 kann man easy verstauen, jedoch sollte man auf einen Batteriegriff verzichten. mit ein wenig gequetsche würde dies zwar ohne Weiteres hineinpassen, jedoch würde sich das Inlay zu sehr aufspreizen - unschön, wenn man undercover mit der Kamera im Messenger Bag unterwegs sein möchte.

Hier die im Angebot nicht angegebenen ca.-Maße außen: Breite 32 cm, Höhe 23 cm, Tiefe 11 cm;innen Breite 29 cm, Höhe 21,5, Tiefe 9 cmDas Insert ist gut verarbeitet und bietet guten Schutz, wenn man Kamera und Zubehör in eine größere Tasche (z.B. größere Messengerbag) packen will - was dann nicht nach Fototasche aussieht. Der feste Schaumstoff ist mit wasserabweisendem Stoff überzogen. Die Kanten sind mit einem Band ordentlich gesäumt. Die 4 Innenteiler haben Klettbestigungen und sind daher beliebig versetzbar.Die Kamera kann man dank der beiden Klappen oben mit nach untem hängenden Objektiv bis ca 10 cm Länge einhängen, sodass sie schnell griffbereit ist. Daneben passen 2 Objektive bzw. 1 Objektiv und 1 größeres Blitzgerät. Bei kleineren Objektiven z.B. für Spiegelreflex mit APS-C Sensor oder MFT passen auch noch weitere Kleinigkeiten rein. Es gibt allerdings keine Reißverschluss- oder Klett-Taschen für Filter, Speicherkarten o.ä.

Habe eine kleine Alternative zum Rucksack gesucht und bin über meine vorhandene Notebook-Tasche gestolpert ;O)Die hat genau die richtigen Abmessungen für meine K7 mit Kit- oder 50mm-Optik, Blitz, TTL-Blitzkabel, das 10-20mm, die EX1 als Zweitkamera und diversen Kleinkram.Fehlte nur der passende Fototaschen-Einsatz ...... und den habe ich hier gefunden.Lasse ich Blitz und TTL-Kabel zuhause, passt sogar das 70-200/2.8 stehend rein - schaut zwar etwas aus dem Einsatz raus, ist aber ja auch noch die Notebooktasche drumherum ;O)Innenabmessungen dieses Einsatzes (gemessen): 32cm x 24cm x 10cmDa der Einsatz zwar ausreichend dick gepolstert, aber trotzdem nicht steif ist, dürfte aber auch eine Kamera mit etwas größeren Dimensionen passen - meine Pentax bringt es mit Schnellwechselplatte auf 11cm Höhe und passt sehr gut.)

Habe mir diesen Einsatz für meine Elephant Umhängetasche gekauft und da passt er perfekt rein. Sehr unauffälig das Ganze. Da ich von Spiegelreflexkameras zu einer Systemkamera umgestiegen bin, will ich nun auch natürlich keine große Fototasche, bzw. Rucksack, mit mir rumschleppen. Meine Olympus OM-D samt Batteriegriff und aufgesetztem Objektiv, zwei weiterer Objektive, Kleinzeug wie Filter, Fernauslöser, Blitz usw. haben locker Platz, ein weiteres Objektiv würde auch noch reinpassen. Die Größe der Fächer kann man dank des Klettsystemes individuell für seine Bedürfnisse verändern. Das Material sieht solide aus und die beabsichtigte Schutzfunktion ist zweifelsfrei da. Also alles genau so, wie man es sich erwartet!

Im Gegensatz zu anderen "Billigeinsätzen" die hier ebenfalls zu bekommen sind, wirkt der Tenba-Einsatz sehr wertig. Die Nähte sitzen präzise, die Dicke der Seitenpolsterungen schützt zuverlässig auch vor etwas härteren Remplern. Der Preis ist vielleicht etwas hoch angesetzt, scheint angesichts der zahlreichen Querteiler und dem Gegenwert der transportierten Ausrüstung jedoch gerechtfertigt.
