Keep spares on hand
I go through 1 of these caps every couple of years in my 5Ton heat pump. Always seems to fail on a weekend or during extreme weather. Service guy wants $50 plus $125 service call to replace. I can do it (electrician) for the cost of the cap. Always test first and turn off power.
