It works! I'm using this clever gadget now
The hardware is good and has a better range than some of the remotes it replaces. The Tabular Rasa software allows you to create your own virtual remotes. It is workable, and you can design some great custom remotes with it, but the developer needs to do a lot to improve the ease of design. You can get what you want, but it takes much more effort and patience than it should.

Does what it says
THO designed for the IPHONE as well as the IPAD it is far easier to use on the IPAD due the smaller screen on the IPHONE.The biggest problems are you must remove the case in order to connect the iWavit. It is an actual multiple remote control that does eliminate the clutter when utilizing multiple devices.Other then the constant taking off,and putting on of the GRIFFIN SURVIVOR case, which is no easy task,it preforms as advertised. One other issue is the compatibility with the new IPAD4,in that requires an additional 30to 8 pin adapter, which must also be purchased. If your willing to pay for the adapter as well as the Iwaveit you have that to consider.IN my case it was a mistake, but we all learn from mistakes.

Fun for a while works good
I bought this product because I was tired of using multiple remote controls it works great lots of features lots and lots of options I used it for maybe a month but then I quit using it because it just wasn't fun anymore and it really wasn't the fun factor the plug-in dongle that you have to use an plug-in to the charging port of your phone is just awkward and too bulky especially if you use a protective case then it sticks out even farther so then you have to use a dongle adapter/extender it just is in the way it's too big and too bulky this big old black thing sticking out of the end of your phone!! if you don't mind that then yes it's worth buying! but over time I just got tired of basically looking at it hanging out-of-the end of my phone Great product poorly executed if they come up with hey smaller adapter for the end of your phone then yes I will buy another one and probably use it but for now it just sits in my drawer with the rest of my junk

iWavit's Tabula Rasa, I love it.
Tabula Rasa, I love it.I had been searching for a new multi device remote control for some time but nothing suited what I wanted to do or was very very expensive. Then I found the iWavit series of Apps for the iPhone. I especially like Tabula Rasa which allows me to control ALL my devices and more. It does require you to spend some time learning how to use the App effectively, iWavit provide a series of videos (in English) on their web-site to help you learn. There is also a forum which the iWavit team do monitor and take part. They respond to your issues or suggestion, a change from many forums.Besides just being able to emulate you own remotes you can mix different remote function on one screen, so for example if your TV is connected to your HiFi you can have both TV controls and HiFi volume / mute on the same screen. This save having to switch screens.... and there's more, each of the buttons on iWavit's remotes can be programmed to more than one thing (functions in iWavit terms). I have for example one large OFF button that at the end of the night or session I press and it is programmed to turn off all my appliances, the TV, the HiFi, the Sat Box, the BD player. I'm now looking to get it to turn off my lights using X10 protocols.I have developed a number of virtual remotes and submitted them to iWavit for inclusion on their downloads site. All in all a great App and although you do need to buy the hardware, without which the Apps will not control anything. This may seem at first expensive but compared to other multi remotes it is in fact well worth the price and I have not even mentioned ALL the other iWavit Apps yet.

This is super cool!
If you want to control your devices from your iPhone this thing works! The only problem I have is that it does not have pre made Philips tv, dvd players apps. That is the reason for 3 star. I'm using it for Direct TV and Vizio TV

Must Have!!!
I only had mine for two hours before I decided it was the second greatest thing in the world(the first being my iPhone 4). I noticed most of my remotes were already available in the app store. For the others i used the free app tabular rasa. Right out of the box you can create completely customized remotes with buttons that do multiple things. If you remote isn't listed the iWavit will learn your remote one button at a time just point the old remote at the unit. It works in ipod, ipad and iphone. I have purposely not said much to my wife cause if she knew how cool it is. I would be looking for my iwavit as much as i did my remote. I have looked at a bunch of other similar devices on the net but they were all expensive, large and bulky, or cheaply made. It has been about a week since i have gotten mine and 2 of my friends have decided to buy one. I LOVE MY iWAVIT!!! The true extent of its capabilities is bigger than what I would ever be able to use it for.
