Sturdy and Hassle-Free: A Review of the DIY Solid Wood Canvas Frame Kit
Bought this for my wife's Paint By Numbers masterpiece. The first thing that struck me about this kit was its impressive durability. The solid wood construction is nothing short of exceptional. The frame feels substantial and reliable, which is crucial for supporting the canvas and ensuring the longevity of my artwork. It's not flimsy like some other frame kits I've used in the past, making me confident that my creations will stand the test of time.Ease of installation is where this kit truly shines. Setting it up was an absolute breeze. The provided instructions are clear, concise, and easy to follow. Even for someone like me, who's not particularly handy with tools, the step-by-step guide made the assembly process a stress-free experience. I appreciated that the necessary hardware and tools were included in the kit, saving me a trip to the store. From start to finish, it took me no more than 20 minutes to have my canvas stretched and secured onto the frame, which is quite impressive. What I love most about this frame kit is that it doesn't sacrifice quality for ease of use. The finished product looks professional and sleek, with no wrinkles or sagging in the canvas. The 16 x 20 inch size is perfect for many of my artworks, and the frame adds a polished touch to my oil paintings and wall art. Whether I choose to display my creations or gift them to others, I am confident that the canvas frame will enhance the overall presentation. In conclusion, the DIY Solid Wood Canvas Frame Kit (16 x 20 Inch) has exceeded my expectations. It's a fantastic addition to any artist's toolkit, providing both sturdiness and simplicity. The durability of the materials, combined with the straightforward installation process and clear instructions, make it a top choice for anyone looking to showcase their oil paintings or wall art with a professional touch. I highly recommend this kit to fellow artists and DIY enthusiasts – you won't be disappointed. Now I send this to the Louvre to add to their collection.

Love it.
I bought this stretch frame after I had purchased another that failed to meet expectations. This one was a more expensive, but worth every penny. The wood is good quality it's easy to assemble and comes with everything you need. Now I'm using these for paint by numbers. Like the picture I have added. My canvas dose not wrap all the way around the back so I flipped the outer sticky side to the inside. Super awesome is that the staples can go on either side without issue. It left a little line around d the picture due to the size. To counter this I just painted that area black. And it has come out great. I plan to use this company and product for all my paint by number framing needs!!!

Most pros, with 1 con
The only downside of the framing kits is that you will likely have to cut the canvas a little like in my pictures. Otherwise, pretty straight forward.MAKE SURE YOU MARK YOUR POSITIONS (in pencil) on the back of the canvas before you peel the adhesive covers. Very easy to ruin the canvas if you have to pull the adhesive off.

Disappointed
The video looked very easy to assemble, so I bought this kit for the Covid lockdown paint-by-number project. This canvas didn’t have extra material to wrap around the frame and I didn’t want my picture to be smaller, so I ordered the frame to the canvas size (16x20). It didn’t wrap around the frame, with which, I’m ok and expected; just hoping the glue will hold. The problems I had were with the staple holes and the wood stretchers. The staple holes were too close to the edge and it tore the canvas. The wood stretchers didn’t stay in place because the grove was too wide for it to be pushed in and secure; they kept slipping off. I did tap it with a hammer as in the video. My quick fix was to tape them to the frame. The canvas is not as stretched as I would have liked. I really like this concept of me framing it. I was happy the way the painting looked, had a sense of accomplishment from start to finish. I’ll give it another try with my current paint-by-number project. I wish there was options for 1/2 or 3/4 inch thickness, that might have worked for my project.

Awesome buy!
I have had a canvas print of my dog since 2014....yes you read that right and we meant to frame it but we just tacked it on the wall (yes it looked as tacky as it sounds) it was in our laundry room which also served as a place to house their items and crates. Fast froward to 10 years later I remodeled and redid the artwork. We'll i never got poor gal framed and I thought I wonder if I could do a canvas and came across this kit. Genius! I was worried with some of the reviews but honestly, it was easy and adhesive was fine but I did staple gun mine. Any professional canvas I have ordered has it (I mean they look way better than what I did) but I'm proud of what I did. It looks great! Easy Instructions that include helpful photos in color. Highly recommend! Great product and I would definitely purchase again!

Ruined masterpiece and no support from P&L
The adhesive is a joke within 24 hours after putting this together the canvas peeled off leaving it loose and floppy with no way to tighten it back down. No customer support and no way to return the product. Had I known how bad this was I would’ve stapled it. After using this my art is completely ruined. It is not replaceable my only option is to start over with the same product and staple it this time it’s been cut and is sticky. It also has holes from attaching it to the corners. Also to get it to work you must cut the corners. It might work better with smaller canvases but not a large one. If you are going to try this you better be ready to staple it and cut your art. I feel taken advantage of. Also you are stuck with them for a floating frame because you can’t find anyone else that had the sizes to fit around this monster. I think they need to ship me a new one at no cost and tell people they need to staple it on the back. The glue is a very temporary hold. I’ll certainly be escalating this complaint it they don’t replace it. No luck so far. Next stop is BBB and the attorney general. I will be heard!
