Fixed my broken fan and eliminated the whine I'd so long lived with
My fan has had an issue with a kind of whine noise for a while now but I've kind of lived with it, learned to use it only on certain settings to minimize it and so on. One day it stopped working entirely after I fiddled with the existing direction switch. I bought this one, connected the wires and not only did my fan start working again, it's now working perfectly silently. I only wish I'd replaced this years ago.As to wire color, they didn't match but were consistent in that there were like colored pairs with my fan and like-colored pairs on the switch so easy enough to match the wire positions after carefully removing a wire at a time. Either remove only a wire or two from the old then attach to the new or take pictures and carefully document your old switch and wire colors before installing this to avoid any headaches. Most likely there's no standard wire coloring scheme across manufacturers for this so not really a problem with this company.

Fixed a broken ceiling that would not spin counter-clockwise.
Had a broken ceiling fan that would not spin counter-clockwise for about 5 years. Room was always super hot with no reprieve. Well…. Decided I would spend the $5.99 and try to repair. It worked brilliantly! I am really excited that the fan can be used to help cool the room. The only caution, was that the colors of the wires did not match perfectly to the old switch. I think the old switch had 2 browns wires vs. dark red (new switch). I simply replaced the same location wires from the old switch to the new switch. Worked like a champ!

Works perfectly fine
I had the switch broken for my ceiling fan. Was easy to replace with all the color coding provided on the switch and quality seems to be good as well.

Works as advertised, but no mounting screws included
You get exactly what is pictured, the toggle switch with 6x wires. While the colors differ from any standard wiring system (and no diagram/schematic included), its fairly straightforward to figure out the connections. I was surprised to not find mounting screws included in the package though, good luck finding the right diameter/pitch machine screws needed to mount this in your fan...
