Yes it is real! One time I paid around $170.00 for the perfume. It is my new favorite!

why is the size 6.6oz and not the 6.8oz the brand's website says it comes in?

No idea I thought the same thing, but I have the Bacarat 6.8oz bottle from the store and I ordered the La Rose through amazon and the sizes are the same as what’s listed on the actual website.
