Are these red leds or white leds with a red lens?

It has white LEDs with a red lens. You can actually see a very slight bit of white light bleeding from the sides where the lens snaps into the base. It does not impact the overall lighting, as it is a strong red light from near or afar.

Is this a motion sensor night light?

Not a motion sensor, but it does have a (mostly nonfunctional) photo sensor. Just a night light.

Is there a "soft glow" version of the red light? All the comments seem to say they are too bright!

We have ours in the bathroom and it's perfect.
