STRANGE STORIES, AMAZING FACTS

My friend had this book when I was kid (('m over 50 now). I saw it and knew I had to get it. If you are interested in ancient astronaut theory, paranormal, cryptids, the strange and unusual, I highly recommend this book. Even if you are not, this book is just generally fun to read, with very interesting photos.

If you have a chance to read this book you definitely should! I initially was going to only put three stars because the used book I ordered was supposed to be a first edition, but honestly I really wasn't worried about that. I have a copy of this book that was given to me years ago and I have ordered many more copies of this book to give out as presents. It's insightful, fascinating, and thoroughly interesting.

A good read, a compendium of interesting facts and stories about a wide range of subjects. Some facts are shocking, others surprising, almost all will hold your interest. Not the sort of book you read from cover to cover in one sitting, but an enjoyable companion to pick up every so often and open at random. Has a comprehensive index, so if you are looking for a specific subject, you can find it quickly. Worth the money.

I was hoping to find the one I had as a kid, this one is updated and leaves out a lot of stuff. I was looking for the nursery rhymes but this one doesn't have them as the original had. I reordered the one from 1976, there are actually two from 1976 so I ordered the one with the earlier number. Hope it is the right one.

great book. it has a lot of interesting stories and a wide variety.

Brought back many childhood memories. The jacket wasnt intact as shown. It was actually in pieces. But other than that it was great.

My mom had this book like 20 years ago. I remember taking it somewhere and forgetting all about it. Anyway we never saw it again. And it was all ny fault. Careless. But I'm older now I know how my mom really loved that book. So I ordered it . It was used but all things considering it was in really good condition. Overall I was very pleased.
