Very sturdy log splitter and great customer service regarding delivery. Comes in pieces in large crate weighing about 600- 700 lbs. The delivery driver was very gracious in using the hand forklift (I think that’s what it’s called) to move the crate to a convenient area. Out of a scale of 1-10, with 10 being easy and 1 being difficult, putting it together was a 5 if you are not mechanically inclined and a 7 if you are. Our last log splitter (about 20 years old) broke three years ago and we’ve been spending $1,000 every winter to buy wood, so this will pay for itself fairly soon. I did purchase the 3 year warranty, but it’s so sturdy and well built, I don’t know if I even need it. Haven’t used the vertical option yet, but the horizontal works great! And, everyone who has reviewed this is right- it started right up on the first try. Took about an hour to split about 3/4 cord of oak. Much faster cycle time than the old splitter we had.

This arrived exactly on time, with several notes from the seller to smooth the way - there were no wrinkles. Liftgate delivery was perfect. It all went together easily enough, but be aware this thing (30 ton splitter) is built like a battleship and at 500llbs is heavy. Started on the first pull and is easy to use. It hasn't broken a sweat on any I have thrown at it. An easy 5 stars. An update. Bought this in May, it is now September. It has worked great and starts easily. I did replace the hydraulic oil feed tube from the reservoir to the pump and the hose clamps. The original would not seal properly and let air into the oil which then foamed and overflowed when returned to the reservoir. Still an easy five stars.

This is a beast of a wood splitter, and it has turned the task of splitting wood into a fun job, now if I just had a better way to stack the wood that would be great! Great product, easy to assemble and operate!

This review is on the third-party seller and the inferior product that they sent me ..when I received the splitter. The packaging was damaged. The splitter comes in about 10 pieces that you need to assemble. The splitter looked like it was assembled and then disassembled. When I Assembled the log splitter. The engine would not start. I had to go through a lot of troubleshooting with no help from the third-party manufacture. When I wanted to return the product. They wanted me to drain 4 1/2 gallons of hydraulic fluid, 2 gallons of gasoline, and a quart of oil. And they wanted me to disassemble the product which is not possible because the packaging was damaged and it’s a flimsy plywood box. It comes in which you have to take part to get the parts out. I explained to them that the splitter once I got it started that The hydraulic ram would twist and bend and struggled when I try to Split logs (PINE WOOD) that should be no problem for a 30 ton splitter as I’ve used splitters for a long time. when I explained to the manufacturer that I was dissatisfied with the product. They had no logistics on how to get it back or break it down and I thought it was ridiculous that I had to do all that because they sent me inferior product so I came to agreement that they sent me half of fee back .The total cost of the splitter was $1715. So I asked them for $875 back. After 20 messages back-and-forth they agreed to give me 50% back the first time they just asked me to send a picture so they could refund me half of the 50% off. Once they got the picture, they said they weren’t gonna give me 50% and that they would only send me back $400 , I told them that’s not good enough another 10 back-and-forth messages , the second time they agreed to send me 50% back and then reneged on it again for the second time. So then they sent the carrier out to pick up the splitter. But the carrier will not pick up the splitter with flammable chemicals inside the unit, and I had no packaging for the log splitter , Amazon was no help either and they sided with the third-party manufacture ..so this review is on the third-party manufacture and Amazon …! Which they sided with the manufacturer ..even though they had agreed twice that they were gonna send me back 50% which was $875.. If I would’ve went to Ace Hardware or tractor supply or Home Depot this wouldn’t have happened . I thought by going through Amazon and A-to-Z guarantee that they would help me, but they were no help either again they sided with the third-party manufacturer. For some reason, the manufacturer keeps prompting me to ship it back, but I cannot ship a splitter back with no packaging.. with flammable chemicals in the unit and I refused after all this to take it apart and drain it …what am I gonna do with 4 1/2 gallons of hydraulic fluid. Now they don’t want to send me any money and they keep pushing for me to send the product back but nor the third-party seller or Amazon is acknowledging that it’s not shippable. And at this point they have been completely shady reneging twice on what they promised. if I send the splitter back, they’re still not gonna send me my money. I don’t trust them or Amazon at this point to make it right. They have done nothing but gaslit lied and been shady the complete time. I could’ve got A 30 ton splitter from tractor supply for $2000 by trying to save $300. It’s been a complete nightmare!!! The manufacturer has no logistics they have no support there’s no way I can send the product back now I’m stuck with an inferior product!!!! Do not buy any products from this company as they are shady they lie and they gaslight you. On top of it Amazon has been absolutely no help at all on resolving this issue as they sided with the third-party seller. Steer clear do not buy any product from this manufacture.!!!!

So far this was a great purchase starts right up works well. You will need a friend to help build it or a hoist or lifting equipment, besides all of that I really like it. Be aware that the company will try to get a delivery charge from you after purchase is completed an additional $150.00 plus if your place doesn’t look like it has a loading dock or fork lift from google earth.
