PREMIER SEEDS DIRECT - Pea - Purple MANGETOUT Snow Pea - Shiraz - 200 Seeds

Brilliant stock, around 95% germination over two years that I've spread the seeds packet out. Brilliant stock which germinate quickly, create huge root systems, and grow fast to produce beautiful purple flowers and fantastic peas. Best seeds I've bought since I've been growing veg!

2 weeks after planting (in a pot in a conservatory kept at about 14 C (58F), all the seeds planted grew, and are about 20cm tall already! (It is January here, with outside temperatures falling to 0C, 32F some nights)We have already had to put sticks in, because they have started to grow the twisty bits that wind round anything (so they grow up the sticks if you have put some in!).Excellent purchase, and they seem set to give us some un-seasonal greens ;-)

Obviously I can't say yet how well these plants will do in terms of producing pods, but I can say that the seeds were delivered promptly in sensible packaging, I've sowed 144 of them, and they have had a very encouraging germination rate with strong-looking seedlings. The four rather than five stars is simply because I don't yet know what the outcome will be in terms of produce.

Seeds arrived promptly and look good quality. Can’t comment on growing success as not yet planted!

Bought these for my dad, and within three weeks they have shot up. Pleased with the results and in knowing we will be adding to our organic garden of delights to eat.

Remains to be seen how they will grow. However, disappointed that all seeds I purchased from this supplier have a short shelf life relative to other brands. Bought these in late summer 2016 and they have to be sown by Dec 2017, meaning any I don't sow this year are wasted. May not be a problem for some people, but I don't have space for 150 pea plants! Bought pea seeds from another supplier which were also packed in 2016, and the 'Sow By' date is 2019.UPDATE - these peas are a prolific producer, but the flavour isn't great, a bit bitter. A classic case of style over substance.

Very tasty, really good croppers, good firm peas. I'm planting twice as many next year.Even the smallest pods have peas in them. They look really good against green of stems which makes them easier to pick. Thick pods are great protection from insects. I planted late and wish I'd planted more, just love these.

Nicht zu empfehlen, bin zwar kein Profi Gärtner, aber ich muß sagen das wenig Ertrag aus den Erbsen geht und das sie sehr fasrig sind ..... aber auf jeden Fall ein Hingucker sind
