Well made and looks like he will use it for years to come.
My grandson loved this vest. He really liked all the pockets for darts. This is nice and light weight so that he can play indoors and not get hot.

Good vest, but broke.
I bought this for a Nerf War, and, it was a bit big for me, but worked fine if I had a big coat on, but when I got to the Nerf War, the zipper broke right off of it, and I wasn't able to fix it until we got home, and even then, it isn't completely fixed. the way that I fixed it was that I just duct taped both sides of the zipper to each other, and then it worked well. I liked the vest because it could hold four clips, and has a large mesh pocket in the back that not only has a opening in the top, but has a opening in the side, near the bottom, so that you could take out the blaster or anything else that you had in there quickly. The clips stay in well, even when you jump and run, which is something that you have to do a lot in a Nerf War. I liked the pocket with a flap over it, that was secured with Velcro, which is helpful for carrying bullets in it. I carry the Nerf Disruptor in the mesh pocket on the back, and tied a piece of string to the bottom of the handle, and let the string dangle out a little ways, so that I could get the gun out fast. I think that this is a pretty good vest, bet there are quality control issues with it, like a already stated, and if the zipper didn't break, this would be a five star item. It is a little over priced, probably because of the Nerf brand on it, and since this does not come with any accessories, but it is not to bad of an item to buy, but you have to be prepared to have it break sooner of later.

Ultimate? No, average; good for those who like 12-dart mags.
This Nerf Ultimate Battle vest’s key feature is the 4 elastic-lipped pockets on the bottom. They are sized to fit up to a single (or around) a 12 dart magazine each. If you try to fit any bigger mags, namely the 18-dart mags, and it will fall over or hang from the elastic strap that holds it in and you will end up feeling silly. It would seem that Nerf has returned to using a zippered front, but I believe it is an unnecessary addition because there are 4 large Velcro straps: 2 thick straps on the shoulder area under the tiger stripe decor(in the style of the camouflage pattern first seen on the Nerf Elite HyperFire), and a single thick strap on each side. You can completely detach this vest into 3 pieces if you wanted to. The upper right pocket can fit a 6-dart magazine in it, or whatever else you would like to put in there (which would be about the size of the average fast food industry cheeseburger. Just saying). On this pocket are 6 individual elastic dart holders. The upper left side just has the Nerf logo. Below it, though, are 6 more dart holders via another strip of sewn elastic. The biggest pocket on this Nerf vest is the screen pocket on the back (like a fine Nylon net pocket), and it is big enough to hold several 18-dart magazines, not that you would want to though because the pocket has a hole on the right side of it. This is not a defect, as it was done purposefully in order to make it easier for the wearer to pull out something like a blaster (perhaps a secondary) without excessive difficulty. Imagine trying to reach the small of your back from over your shoulder. This is how you must grab items inserted into your back pocket. There still poses the problem of having things accidentally falling out of the right opening of the net pocket, but at least Nerf made a lip at the bottom right corner to discourage that from happening. My Hammershot blaster stayed in place for the most part with me running around trying to make it fall out, and eventually it did. By the way, I am a full- sized adult and it was rather tight on me. I assume the average 8-13 year old will have no problem fitting this vest, but smaller-bodied children on the other hand might look comical if they are wearing this vest. If this is the case, hopefully they will grow into it. One last thing about the Ultimate Battle Vest is that it has a plastic swiveling clip on the left side for... Something... Keys..? I don’t know, it is there if you need it. In conclusion, this Ultimate Battle Vest is not exactly the Ultimate. Or I should hope it isn’t, because there is not enough things about it that make it stand out against any of the other Nerf or off-brand tactical vests out there. It is not made of a better material, it is not built to be more comfortable or breathable, nor was it made to be easier to clean. It is a Nerf Vest by design, but one trying to be a Nerf chest-rig, and chest-rig it is not. I have seen aftermarket chest-rigs that can carry 12x Nerf 18-dart magazines, and while having front pockets that are capable of housing 4x 12-dart mags is a big improvement idea, the vest is limited by physics. The space was not utilized to hold 18-dart magazines, which is a bummer to many Nerfers. The back screen pocket is a great idea, but that utilization is also limited to the anatomy of the human body (and oversized Nerf equipment). Things may fall out of it from time to time, there is no denying that fact. I know, I tested the “hole” in the screen pocket. My idea of an Ultimate Battle Vest would have a holster strapped to the back to carry a foam sword. It would have diagonal side-straps for 18 dart magazines and pockets on the upper back to hold and draw 18-dart mags over-the-shoulder like arrows from a quiver. It would also have enormous pockets on the front to carry larger things or more numerous smaller things. But that is just me.

OK quality but very cool!
The zipper broke but had it replaced quickly. It was not that big of deal and it was a really cool gift!

Too big
This vest is very large and not suitable for kids. Strange they would make the vest so big for kids.

Recensione Gilet Tattico Nerf
