VertaMax Modified 1200 Watt (2400W Surge) 12V 12 Volt Power Inverter DC to AC Car, Solar, RV, Car, Boat (Cables + Remote Switch + ANL Fuse + USB Port Included)

I bought the VertaMax Modified 1500 Watt power inverter to use in my 38' fifth wheel camper because I sometimes spend 1 to 3 nights without good 50 amp shore power when I'm traveling and I use a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. The CPAP requires 15 amp 115 volt power to operate. I wired the inverter to a single dedicated outlet so I can plug my CPAP machine in at night when I'm without shore power.. The power supply in my camper consists of 4 Interstate 6V 225AH deep cycle batteries wired in series/parallel circuit. In total that provides 450 AH which is way more than I actually need for the CPAP machine for one night. When needed I use a 2000 W portable generator to recharge the battery bank. The VertaMax inverter works perfectly for this. I have also used this to power my drip coffee maker a couple of times - great inverter. I highly recommend this inverter for this type of application. Installation was simple and does not require an electrical engineer to set it up. Connect positive and negative wires to batteries and plug in whatever AC device you want to operate to the inverter's convenient outlets (3 ea).

It seems to be well made the comments are a but scary for being so low but i gave them a shot and I think I did the right thing but time will tell, so far so good no beeps or alarms coming on from the inverter even with a low voltage battery. I have two 100 ah battery with a 100 watt solar panel but by the morning my battery is down to 11.8 volt so when I brew my morning coffee when we dry camp.it does drop to 11.1 and it's sitting there until the coffee has brewed, and then it goes back up to 11.8.So I can definitely say that it's worth every penny.The only suggestion I would make to buy better cables the one's the inverter come's with it's not that bad but they are definitely not 2AWG cause I had to order a longer cable for the positive end since it wasn't reaching my battery so I ordered a 3 feet 2 AWG copper Marine cable by Camco the best cable ever.and it is noticeably thicker then the windy nation 2 awg cable so other then that it is a good Inverter. I would definitely recommend it.

I've worked with AC and DC for 40 years so I know what I'm doing. Hooked this up and it worked for about 3 minutes. Then beeped and died. Checked battery voltage and it was never lower than 12.5 while the inverter was running. After it died checked for battery voltage at the inverter to test the fuse and voltage was good. Turned it off and on a couple of times. Once it worked and then died again. Fan never came on so not a temp. issue. Returning. Garbage. Don't buy. Edit: after about 30 minute it started working again. Have to assume it's a cooling issue. Was able to use it at about 600watts output (according to its OWN readout) for 10 minutes and then it died again. Went back to Amazon and have ordered an inverter from Vevor instead.

what can i say comes w/ everything and i did test it on a car battery-running of course and worrks well-power up and shows correct voltage watts amps-the circuit breakers are more on/of switches than breakers-kinda weird

It works as expected as far as providing power goes. My issue with the unit is that it’s very loud and runs down my battery at night when my solar panels aren’t charging. The fan kicks on every 2.5 minutes (yes, I timed it) all day and night. It doesn’t matter what the load or temperature is. It just runs. The only thing I run off of it is a Domestic CFX50 refrigerator.

What a piece of crap,1200 wattInverter won't operate above 800 watt, I should have returned it when I had the chance, no I'm camping for 6 months and I can't run my 700 watt microwave
