The vitamins are helping with their kennel cough and noticing a small reduction in the fatty lumps.
I buy this product on an Amazon subscription basis now. I feed it to 2 of my Border Collies, by using the included measure spoon and spreading 2 spoons over their breakfast kibble. The vitamins are helping with their kennel cough. One of dogs has fat lumps and I am noticing that they are getting slightly smaller too!The powder must be pretty tasteless because my dogs do not show that they notice it on their food.My only gripe about this is that sometimes it is hard to get the measuring spoon out of the container because it quite short, and often gets stuck at there the container tapers at the neck. (see image below)Overall, I am happy that I am making sure that my dogs keep healthy, and will continue to use this supplement on their foods.I hope that you have found my opinion to be helpful with your decision process to purchase this item. If this is the case, and where Amazon asks if this review helpful, please click "yes".

A Miracle for my Dog!
I have spent the last year and a half researching holistic approaches to Arthritis and Hip Dysplasia as well as other symptoms like lethargy and depression in my formerly sparkling 12 (now 13 year old) German Shepherd mix. She was on some very pricey herbal treatments as well as the standard Glycosamine and a strict daily exercise regime. I have always had her on ACV and BSM (Apple Cider Vinagar and Black Strap Molasses added to her food ). While I still do the latter I never found the Glucosamine or the other herbal treatments to make much of a of difference but continued Glucosamine just to be on the safe side. When I first Iooked up 'Hip Dysplasia' on Amazon all I could find were product ads for dog wheel chairs! I found a little more hope with some holistic treatments but not much. I had thought just to give up and be satisfied with 'maintaining' and 'keeping her comfortable' until the inevitable' arrived. That is the standard advice you get whether orthodox or holistic. However, when she began lying under the bed all day, refusing, walks and food it broke my heart! It was like she was just fading away. So, I made one final effort to find something I had not tried before and came upon buffered Vitamin C for Hip Dysplasia. Not just 'maintaining' but curing and even preventing it! I started her on 500 mg a day of pill form Ester-C and she is now on about 1000 mg a day. I like to give her the pill in the AM and Crystal C powder in the evening (another 500 mg). As this is a fairly new treatment recommendations are somewhat all over the place with some saying that very sick and depleted dogs should be given as much as they can tolerate (until loose stools then dose down again). I have found this dosage to be about in the middle. She came back to life within days. She now is still walking with a slight limp after 3 weeks but does not slip or trip and is back to her old personality again! After reading on this subject extensively it has been thought in the past that dogs did not need vitamin C because they produced it naturally. However, it has also been found that under stress (such as vaccines and environmental toxins) vitamin C stores can be depleted. My dogs and cats have only basic and minimal vaxing (to get them fixed or the ones they came with out of the shelter) and have had few issues until now. It is a policy I have followed since two former dogs had severe autoimmune reactions including one with vaccine induced Lupus years ago. It was a veterinarian who first told me to stop vaccinating my sick dog and even offered to forge papers should I ever want to take him out of the country when we were thinking of immigrating to Canada! It could also be the reason my dog did not start getting sick until about 12 (not starting at a much younger age like many other dogs). My husband was so amazed at the quick response that he too researched this subject and found many of the symptoms these dogs are getting actually resemble human Scurvy. That is stiff joints, lethargy, depression and bleeding gums (which my dog also had). Could Hip Dysplasia be a form of Canine Scurvy? Is it just too obvious or full of common sense or are there too many ppl making a mint off dog wheel chairs and expensive treatments? In fact, there are some saying it is not congenital at all since they seem to be unable to breed it out of dogs. Naturally, there is not enough research on the Scurvy, Vitamin C and Hip Dysplasia connection. Can you guess why?I am writing this rather long and detailed review in hopes it might help another dog mom and dad who are about to give up. I have stated what I know from my own experience. Please do not ask for medical advice but do the research yourself and then try it on a low dose at first and see how it goes. It is inexpensive and will not hurt your dog at any rate!

Great product!
My cat has had two UTIs in the past and has had kidney stones, so I bought this additive to use in conjunction with her prescription food. My vet recommended adding vitamin C to help with UTI and help dissolve stones. I showed him this bottle, and he said it looked fine. It has worked SO WELL! She hasn't had a single issue for the last year I've been using it. I give her half a scoop every night, so the bottle still isn't gone, even after a year of use! I used only a tiny bit at first to get her used to it. She was finicky, but she started eating it just fine. My ONLY complaint - someone mentioned this in another review - is that I wish the scoop was a little longer, because it's really hard to get out of the container, especially when the container starts to get low.

NO ACID...
I did not realize that this is Vitamin C without the acid. I bought this thinking it had the acid to ACID up my cat's system to fight stomatitis. I can't use it for that but its still a great product for ANY cat... vitamin C is a must for all cats. And the acid of it, which this does not have, will cure cat mouth and gum issues quickly

Great for dogs with cancer
I gave this to my dog with cancer and she did great on it but now I'm using it for my other dog who is a large breed puppy at 5 months. Dummy me fed her to much protein from freeze dried supplements. Her joints began to get inflamed and she went flat feet. After talking to her breeder I was told to stop the supplements and get her on Ester C and keep her weight down and only puppy food. After giving this product to her for five days now her joints are no longer inflamed and she is no longer flat feet this has made a huge difference. She will continue to take it for a while as her breeder said it takes time and like I said a huge difference within five days. Just wondering if this product is the same equivalent as Ester C if not better. Wish it would say how many times a day per feeding is allowed to give. Right now she's 50lbs and given two scoops with her morning feeding with no loose stool. I'm considering giving it to my 4lb Chi at 17yrs which would be a very small amount. I'm very impressed with this product and just ordered another bottle. Plus this will be given daily from now on.

High quality supplement for fur babies
This is well formulated vitamin c supplement for four-legged friends. My cat doesn't mind it in hiswet food at all, so I suspect it is flavorless. Because he is getting older, I am going totry Dr. Goodpet's Golden Age formula. Overall, my sense is that this is a company committedto quality pet care and clean formulas.
