Ethan Allen and Allen & Wheelock: Their Guns and Their Legacy

I am giving this book to my friend for Christmas . He owns an Allen & wheelock side hammer .32 cal. revolver and this book will give him the history behind it.

Only book like it to learn about these guns.

Very well put together book. Answered many questions I have had about this funny toy pistol I was given. It turns out to be a fine actual firearm (Side Hammer, sixth model, birds head grip, 7 shot .22, S/N 13348). Just needed a hammer spring and the book helped me recreate a new spring with little difficulty. The pictures and diagrams of all the firearms made by Ethan Allen & Allen & Wheelock are amazing. If you have a gun made by this fine company you must have this book. Thank you Paul Henry!

This was not for me but for my Dad the collector. He was very happy with the detailed illustrations of the guns and the great pictures and information it contained. $60 seams like a lot for a book (to me) but he couldnt have been more happy and said that he would have spent 3 times that on trying to assemble all of the various parts into one book. So if your a fan of old guns, need illustrations of the various Allen/Wheelock guns, or just want to learn about the history of them, this book will not disappoint.

I have a few similar books about this gun maker, Ethan Allen, - ALL are invaluable to have when researching this makers weapons and history. This book has a great selection of photos and model descriptions as well as historical information about the gun makers and their personal lives.

This book was excellent. It far exceeded my expectations. The research was thorough and the text was interesting and informative. It was written in an engaging manner. The photography was first rate as was the quality of the paper. Too bad that the author recently passed away.

I was happy to receive a new book for less money than was requested for a used one at a gun show I attended. I received it in excellent time as estimated. The book is very good.
