I had previously purchased a cotton-polyester blend robe that, unfortunately, was just not very breathable, so wanted one that was 100% cotton, breathable and lightweight. This one fits the mark well. The cotton is light and soft, not see-through; seams, sash and piping are well-sewn. I washed it in cold water, tumble dried low briefly to make it less wet and then hung to dry -- it got even softer; can't tell if it shrank - it still fit. I'm 5'2", inverted triangle and apple shape with broad shoulders, big tummy and slim hips, usually wear an XL on top, L on bottom; the XL robe fit well and came down to about mid-calf.
