Apliquick Rods - Apliquick Tools for Turned Edge Applique - 2 Rods

I ordered these for my mom, who does a lot of applique. She said they are fantastic to work with. I will most likely be ordering a set for myself.

These are the highest quality tools. I saw them featured in a video. I have an idea that requires applique, and these tools seemed to make short work out of a painstaking process. Though I've not appliqued with them, I have had them but a day, and I've used them at my sewing machine for fishing the bobbin thread up through a quilt and in turning a perfect mitered binding. The tools are well balanced, very high quality, and you will enjoy using them for any task that requires precision. 07/09/2019 additional note: They also are great for feeding fabric (e.g. a long tail of a triangle) into your machine close to the needle and holding a seam to be pressed open. They allow you to be a fabric surgeon. I'm so very glad that I have these. (I have yet to applique with them!)

My mother-in-law had these and told me how great they were and I thought they were pretty spendy. Now that I have them, I wouldn’t want to go without. I’ll sometimes use them simultaneously one in each hand to turn an edge and paste down. Easy to clean.

I have looked at the Apliquick tools for quite some time now, but felt it was not a truly needed tool. Well I have rethought this! Arthritis in my hands have caused a serious problem when it comes to hand sewing. I watched Rosa Rojas you tube on how to form the appliqué pieces using the rods. I ordered the rods and they arrived quite quickly. In a very short time, (5 minutes or less) I had her technique down. The appliqué pieces are perfect, even the tiny points, and with the tools my hands were able to do this process so comfortably. I am so amazed and so very happy that I can now continue appliqué sewing which I really love. I heartily endorse the Apliquick Rods for any sewer who loves appliqué. I can't say enough about how great these Apliquick tools are. I have just finished a number of circle, leaves and flowers with points and curves. After about a 15 minute learning curve, I was efficiently turning all the edges under, but having fun doing it! I have needle turned applique for years, but wanted to get it my edges more even and smooth as well as get more projects done. These tools have been the answer. Watching YouTube videos about techniques and practicing (getting my muscle memory going) helped me turn out great looking shapes. Whether I hand applique or do it by machine, these rods have made a big difference in quality and performance . The surgical steel is comfortable to hold, feels sturdy and really worth the price . I highly recommend these for your sewing toolbox!

Great for applique.

I’ve had these tools on my wishlist for several years, having seen YouTube videos featuring the product. They are great and work so well. I have some limitations with dexterity in my left hand, but am easily able to use the rods. I am so excited, because I thought I would only ever be able to do raw edge appliqué. I highly recommend these tools!
