Premium Beef Bouillon Flavor Base 11 oz, Versatile Use 1PK

I wanted to have Knorr Premium Roasted Beef Flavor Base on hand with fall getting close because in our house that means soup, stew and chili season, and after using it tonight I’m already glad I bought it. The first thing I noticed when I opened the jar was the consistency. This is a thick, dark, concentrated paste, not a thin broth or dry bouillon. It looks and smells rich, and a little goes a long way. The jar says it makes up to 52 cups of stock, so this 11 oz jar should last us through quite a few meals. Tonight I used it in a Royal Blend rice I was making for the first time. The rice directions called for salt, but instead I added some of this roasted beef base to the cooking liquid along with olive oil. It gave the rice the darker beefy color you can see in my photos and added a deep, savory roasted-beef flavor without overpowering the different grains in the rice. The flavor tasted much fuller than I would have gotten from simply adding salt. I served the rice with homemade salmon croquettes, chow chow, pickled onions and pickled carrots. I made the amount listed on the rice package for three adults, and my husband enjoyed the rice enough to go back for more. That tells me this will definitely be something I reach for again. What I especially like is the versatility. Besides using it to season rice, I can see this being useful for beef soups, vegetable soup, stew, chili, gravies, sauces, beans and anything else that needs a richer savory base. Because it is concentrated, I can also control how strong I want the flavor instead of opening an entire carton of broth when I only need a little. I also like the durable, sturdy jar and screw-on lid are another plus. Since this is a concentrated paste that I’ll use a little at a time, I like having it in a container that closes securely and is easy to scoop from, reseal and put away for the next meal. For me this is the kind of ingredient that earns its place in the pantry because it can improve a simple everyday meal while also being useful for all the hearty cooking we do during cooler weather. Rich flavor, thick concentrated texture, plenty in the jar, and lots of ways to use it. Five stars. *pot roast, stroganoff, Swedish meatballs.. :) will be great for these…side note

I was shocked when I opened the jar bcuz I was expecting a powder but this is more like a gel pasta. You only need one small spoon full. It taste good so I would purchase again. Put in water as soon as you put water on the stove. Refrigerate after opening.

This is very tasty and high quality. I have used this few times and I love it the texture is consistent so is the flavor. This is so easy to use.

It's better flavor than the Knorr powder but sometimes takes too much to get enough proper beef flavor. The price is reasonable at this time for what you get. It does mix in relatively easy if what you have is liquid enough. Keeps just fine in the fridge after opening.

Bought one, loved it, and immediately bought two more to have in the house when I cook. Delicious, hearty, well priced.

This is the top tier flavor base used in professional kitchens. Knorr is premium quality and head and shoulders above the rest. I have used it for decades as a chef instructor and highly reccommend it foran enhancement anywhere you want to increase the depth of flavor. Don't use too much as it does contain a good amount of salt. You can always add more, but it's difficult taking it out once it's in there.

This is a quality food flavor enhancer. I purchase the 3 pack and Im glad I did. Purchasing the 3 different flavors was a good deal price wise. I have used this brand many times and, in my opinion, it is the best.
