Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal Creation Myths Boxed Set

I would have given this item three stars, but the: illustration, box art, paper, packaging, and just the overall product design is absolutely enchanting. So beautiful in fact, it's arguably the main influence on my complete appreciation for the story contained within. I give the story three stars. My continued opinion is that the Dark Crystal has always been a somewhat awkward fantasy story that has never had a strong point in its narrative, despite having many interesting ideas. This three part pre movie expositional in the form of mythology works (if somewhat clumsily at times) to clarify aspects of the movie's premises, introduce the setting to the curious, as well as giving long time fans more Dark Crystal; that's a win! If you love this setting, buy it!

These books are quite pricey individually. This boxset is great value. I love The Dark Crystal. I personally thought the art on the third book was better quality than the art in the first two. I wish they had developed that artstyle earlier, but the art of the first two books is also good.

For all three of the comic books in one bundle, the price makes it a great deal. There was a pretty sizable dent on the bottom of the box that it came in (as you can see in the first picture), but my best guess is that it happened during shipping so I'm not mad. Everything about this is beautiful, so I'd highly recommend it to Dark Crystal lovers everywhere.

I got this boxed set as soon as it released as i had already been desperately trying to get my hands on the books before the re-release. This collection of stories hitting the highs and lows of the history of Thra and it's inhabitants. It is beautifully illustrated and entertains the curiosity and fills in the holes left behind in the original film. Thoroughly explore the world on a deeper level and get the answers you've always longed for. I will be reading these over and over for years to come. LOVE these books. fantastic read. I savor every page.

Got these books for my husband. Preparing for the tv show that came out on Netflix. He read all of them, and keeps telling us about the lore and has recommended we all read them too. :)

Beautiful illustrations, well written, beautifully presented in a case. My daughter loved it for a birthday present. Very good quality.

I loved my Dark Crystal stories. One of the pages though was a little ripped and another looked a little mangled.
