Love this body scrub!! My skin feels like a baby’s skin after using it. It has a nice smell and lasts for a month or a little longer. I use the scrub twice a week.

My skin: very dry, extremely sensitive, acne-prone, ingrown-hair prone, rosacea, very fair. I intended to use this as an exfoliant for my face primarily, and this review is based on that. I used it 3 times before writing this review in order to give full feedback. The product itself is fairly dry. It is supposed to be so that it exfoliates properly. The brown sugar is perfect as the rounded ingredient is not harsh against the skin. Use on damp skin. It smells amazing if you like brown sugar. 1st use: Spot check on my cheek where my rosacea is prominent. There was no immediate stinging or any reaction. I did a gentle rub and washed it off. Even just that rub was enough to feel a difference between my cheeks; left it feeling very smooth. 2nd use: Full face check. This checked light exfoliation and for reactions, just in case the spot check was a one-off. Again, the product left my face feeling smooth, and there was no immediate reaction. I did, however, feel like my skin was a little more "exposed." Couldn't tell if that was good (proper exfoliation) or bad (over-exfoliation on my part), so I followed up with my toner to see if there was any stinging. None to be found, so the product itself did its job very well! 3rd use: Full exfoliation following a treatment of tretinoin to my skin the previous night. This is usually followed by at least some degree of peeling for me. This scrub exceeded my expectations; it removed all of my peeling skin and left my face soft and ready for additional product. Simple ingredients, does what it's supposed to do, inexpensive, great for sensitive skin. For those with dry skin, like me, be sure not to over-exfoliate during use or to use this product too often. And follow-up with a moisturizer. In my routine, before using this scrub, I treat my entire face with tretinoin once a week and spot-treat acne areas with glycolic acid (removes outer layer of skin) and benzoyl peroxide (kills bacteria). After exfoliating with this scrub, I follow up with toner and moisturizer.

To be honest, the smell for the brown sugar is not great. It isn't sweet smelling. It almost smells like coffee, but not good coffee However, the results were very good! The scrub does a good job exfoliating before melting on your body. The moisture barrier it left behind was really nice and left my skin feeling very smooth For those that exfoliate and then shave -- heads up that you have to really keep your razor rinsed cause the dead skin clumps together with the hair and clogs up the blades. Not a big deal, just requires lots of water and wiping to make sure you're getting clean swipes

I wanted to like this brown sugar scrub, especially because it was priced lower than many other sugar scrubs, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience for me. When it first arrived, it already felt much drier than other sugar scrubs I’ve used before. Instead of a paste-like consistency, it felt more like loose, coarse sugar. I tried using it on my hands, but it felt a bit too harsh and even scratched my skin slightly. The scent also wasn’t something I enjoyed, so I ended up setting it aside. About two weeks later, I opened it again and was surprised to find that it had completely dried out. It had turned into a hard block of brown sugar in the jar. I had closed the lid tightly, so I’m not sure why this happened—maybe it was already too dry when I first received it. Overall, I really wanted to like this product, but between the rough texture, lack of a pleasant scent, and how quickly it dried out, it just wasn’t a good experience for me.

I was a bit disappointed by the scent of the Brooklyn Botany Brown Sugar Body Scrub, as it wasn’t what I expected and didn’t really stand out to me. That said, it does exfoliate well and leaves my skin feeling smoother after use. It’s also very affordable, which is a plus. Overall, it’s a decent scrub performance-wise, but I’d recommend choosing a different scent if you’re sensitive to smells or want something more enjoyable.

When first opening the scrub, it looks a little dry but once applied to skin it melts beautifully. Literally one of the best scrubs I've ever gotten especially for this price point. I paired this scrub with the hanni in shower salve and my skin has never been so soft. This is easily going into my "everything shower" routine, permanently. 10/10

The best body scrub I ever purchased , It really get the skin feel nice and soft

For reference, I have very dry dull skin and get ingrown hairs quickly ... and I live in the tropics so very oily products don’t work for me. This product is great for all these aspects. My skin feels softer and smoother And when I’m get out of the shower my skin feels very ‘settled’ and I don’t need to rub cream afterward but it doesn’t feel sticky either in the heat. Highly highly recommend. Would buy again :) I also use this on face but am gentle and I have noticed that my face is glows and pores have closed up

Nice and thick exfoliant. Just as described. I use it on my face and body.

Smells great and reduces bumpy skin texture really well. This does not emulsify when you wash it off so it’s best to follow up with a gentle cleanser to remove excess oil. Leaves skin feeling soft and moisturised.
