Thunderbolts* - DVD

Jake Schreier’s 2025 film “Thunderbolts*” adapts a screenplay by Eric Pearson and Joanna Calo based on stories in the Marvel comics of the same name and building upon events in Peyton Reed’s 2018 film, “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” Cate Shortland’s 2021 film “Black Widow,” Malcom Spellman’s 2021 Disney+ series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” Jonathan Igla’s 2021 Disney+ series “Hawkeye,” and Julius Onah’s 2025 film “Captain America: Brave New World.” The film stars Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Lewis Pullman as Bob, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Within the story, Valentina de Fontaine is using the other main characters to clean up her connections to the O.X.E. Group in order to preserve her position as C.I.A. Director amid Congress’ efforts to impeach her. She sends Yelena, U.S. Agent, Taskmaster, and Ghost on a mission in which they each think they’re preserving data from the other only to realize she intends to eliminate them all as well as the facility where she sent them. In the process of discovering this double-cross, the team also finds Bob, a mysterious man whose touch gives them psychic visions of the worst moments of their lives. They soon learn that Bob is the result of Project Sentry, Valentina and O.X.E. Group’s efforts to create their own superhero. Unfortunately, Bob’s traumatic background brings unforeseen complications. Bucky, now a Congressman in his own right, seeks the renegade group as evidence of Valentina’s corruption but finds himself joining them and Red Guardian to thwart the fallout of O.X.E. The team ironically takes their name from the soccer team that Yelena played on as the child of double-agents in the 1980s, but soon realizes that their weaknesses give them insights that surpass what a typical team might find in a crisis. This Steelbook is a great way to add the film to fans’ home movie collections and includes Blu-Ray, 4K, and digital copies of the film. Bonus features include “Around the World and Back Again” – a look at the global scale of the story – “Assembling a Team to Remember” – about the cast and their backgrounds – “All About Bob” – a look at the newest MCU character – a gag reel, deleted scenes, and audio commentary from director Jake Schreier. A great addition to Marvel fans’ collections!

By far the most entertaining avengers movie yet. Great cast!!!

Best Marvel movie to date. A pure roller coaster ride that you never want to end. my only wish was that Barron Zemo was in the film.

It's not perfect, but it's one of the best things Marvel has come out with since Endgame. Based on personal biases, I'd even say it's one of the best things Marvel has come out with period. Unlike the Eternals, which also had a rather large cast, Thunderbolts narrows its focus to two central main characters, which allowed them to focus significantly more on emotional conflict. The film also brings back characters who I initially didn't like, but wrote them in a way that kept the core of their character the same while making them more enjoyable. For example, Yelena's father was portrayed as an idiot in Black Widow and that was all there was to his character. He still has the same bumbling characteristics in Thunderbolts, but is himself a more competent individual. Three of the five Thunderbolts (six if you count Bob, but I don't) are super soldiers, so they don't have much variety in the way of super powers, but Disney has come a long way in the choreography of fight scenes. Each action sequence was unique and enjoyable to watch. I wouldn't say the film itself is a particularly good discussion point for depression, though it certainly talks about it. Each of the characters have significant problems to overcome and they're not always nice about it, but their flaws, and especially their attempts to overcome their flaws, make them human. I'm not about to say Marvel is "back" but it does look like they're learning from some of their mistakes and this was a really well put together film.

I did enjoyed watching Thunderbolts and it was really good.

Love the movie

The 1st few minutes which has Pugh basically solo are a bit boring but she quickly enters into the trap that has her interact with the other main characters. Then the movie becomes fast moving &, as with the Black Widow movie which this is the primary sequel to, it has lots of action with David Harbour again providing several humorous moments. A fun movie.

Better then the theater liked the movie more the second time

El SteelBook llegó muy bien cuidado y sin ningún daño. La imagen luce muy bien, siendo clara y nítida en todo momento, con buena intensidad en los colores y brillo en general. El audio en inglés Dolby Atmos es muy bueno y adecuado, sin artefactos o distorsiones en los diálogos o efectos ambientales. También trae español latino Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 y subtítulos en ambos idiomas. El código digital es válido para USA.

Filme excelente, parabéns pela agilidade da entrega antes do previsto.

Historia de los nuevos Avengers y sus orígenes solo referencia a los clásicos pero es una buena película, no creo que vaya a tener una segunda parte pero es bastante disfrutable sobre todo si eres fan, viene doblada y subtitulada al español
