Potential errors in answer keys.
I believe my English is good. These were not for me, but I was the one marking the tests. I believe there were several instances when I disagreed with the answer provided in the key as the correct answer. The tests are good and difficulty levels are reasonable.

I can't believe I paid for this.
I purchased a new book but the CD didn't match the questions in the book and it was new and unopened. I couldn't register my book because it wasn't on the list of books that could be registered. So I couldn't study the listening part of the test. Before anyone asks, I do speak and understand English. I was born and raised in America. For someone who doesn't speak English very well this book is a waste of time. I'm not sure if mine was defective or if this is typical.

IELTS durch dieses Buch bestanden
Der IELTS - Test ist ziemlich teuer. Da ich aber mein C1 - Niveau in Englisch nachweisen musste, habe ich mich dafür entschieden. Dieses Buch bietet wirklich viele Erklärungen, Übungen und Tests. Die Zeit war knapp und ich konnte nicht alle machen, aber 3/4 des Buches habe ich geschafft und wusste genau was mich beim Test erwartet. Das half, die Nervosität etwas zu mindern. Nur die Länge der Lesetexte im Buch erschienen mir, im Vergleich zum Test, etwas kurz. Wenn man sich aber an die Lesetipps hält, kommt man da auch problemlos durch. Mein Tipp: Mindestens 4 Wochen vorher mit dem Buch beginnen, wenn man täglich dafür Zeit hat. Je länger und öfter man übt, unso besser. Material ist genug da, im Buch.

Excellent book on Ielts testing.
Excellent book on ielts tests. It helped me A LOT. actually I took a course but I consider that the book helped me more than the course. It is a complete guide, with really helpful tips to help you with the Ielts test. Highly recommended.

Not to be used as a single study resource!
Helpful book, but not to be taken as the only study resource. The website is quite inaccurate and there are a few spelling mistakes throughout the book. I got an overall band 8 on my IELTS and I feel like this book's listening and reading sections are way harder than the test itself. Overall, this book is not true to the test. If you can only afford one book, go with the official Cambridge guides! Nevertheless, it is a good resource to practice, especially for people who are aiming for higher scores!
