Listen, I'm here in South Florida, and we've got hurricanes and floods and you name it. But what scared me to get better prepared is because now we've got flooding that can happen in just minutes. People who survive the floods in New Jersey and New York said that they were shocked because the weather reports were that they were going to have a little rain throughout the week. Well that little turned into very big. You've seen in the news how much the water rises and just a little bit of time. Of course there's the tragedy from Texas. So I told my family we have got to get this straight or we are going to die. No reason to die being foolish when you've got time to be smart. We were serious enough that we even bought a quality raft, a rubber raft just like they use in Cruise lines. This is serious business, so don't laugh. Last year, 2024, the Fort Lauderdale City is only about 15 mi from us in Boca Raton, had rains so bad and so fast that the Fort Lauderdale International Airport runway had flooding that came up to the wings of the airplanes. Now that's serious. If that can happen just 15 miles away from me and I am not prepared? Then I have no one to blame but myself. So I did a lot of research and chose this bag not just for the family-owned business factor, but that when I saw what was all included I thought this is the ticket. They really have everything. The food bars are delicious. Okay this is not Gourmet but it's going to last you and it's delicious as delicious goes for emergency bars. They've got emergency bags of water, but also Has a plastic bottle, well made and enough to carry a quart of water. But in addition to that they've got the purifying water pills. They've got a Swiss army knife with all the bells and whistles. Poncho, mylar blanket. What I like about it is that it's a small enough bag for even a child to carry, yet sturdy and with a lot of room to handle all of the supplies. Like I said, I did a lot of research and this is the best. Keep it simple, but keep it reliable. Don't be fooled by other products with larger bags and with a lot of other bells and whistles that we really don't need and that will add extra weight where only a 6 ft 6 man of 250 lb would be able to handle lol. When your life and the lives of you family are on the line, don't cut corners! **Q: Is there an expiration date on this kit?** A: there is a self life to the water and food stuffs of fire years from packaging. there are some things that can be added by yoourself that have longer shelf lives like mre's that can last on the shelf for as much as ten years.i got this so i would have something in the truck if i ever got stuck on hiway during a winter storm when you might be there for a day or so. that down't happen too often but better to be ready for it. **Q: Is there space in the bag to add extra water like 4 bottles of water?** A: No **Q: I think the current Aqua Blox have only 6.75 oz (200 ml). Is that correct (One of those per person is certainly NOT enough for three days!).** A: the one I got last year has 4 one litre terrapack of water. this is a pick it up and go emergency pack and meant for an emergency so it is kinda minimalist, just enough to keep you going.
