Gerber Graduates MealMat Silicone Feeding Tray with Storage Case

We love to go out to eat with our kids (now 18 months). They're pretty good with table manners, but sometimes like to clear their plate from the table when they're done. We've tried the adhesive placemats (which they rip off and/or play with) and occasionally will give them a glass plate at a restaurant. Usually, we end up sanitizing their section of the table and putting food directly on there. I wanted something portable, but not breakable, that we can take with us when going out to eat. I came across these and thought they were perfect!They arrived quickly and washed up really nicely in the dishwasher. I hand washed first just to make sure any residues left over from the manufacturing process were totally gone. They fold up nicely and tuck inside the little carrying case. My only gripe is that the carrying case doesn't seem to snap shut. The lid just kind of sits on there, which is odd. I can see it falling off in my bag. I will probably tuck the cases inside a mesh bag to keep things clean.I wanted to make an important note for anyone reading the reviews on this product. Every now and again, I get pretty annoyed reading product reviews. Sometimes, people make assumptions about a product and then give it a poor rating when it doesn't meet their expectations (regardless of what the actual product is intended for). Reading reviews for this plate was one of those occasions! Several people complained that the plate would not stay put on their baby's tray. This is not advertised as a suction tray! Just because it's silicone does not mean that it should suction to anything. So, if you're reading - this is NOT a suction plate. A look at the pictures would easily show that it is not. This is a travel plate that is made of silicone. It's flexible and foldable and comes in a nice little carrying case. If that's what you're looking for (like me), I think you'll be happy with this!

I bought this on a whim over a year ago for my daughter. At the time I was just using those disposable plastic sheets that you stick to the table....which are not only a pain to stick on as your HANGRY BABY grasps at it, but is slowly killing mother earth because it's plastic that (let's be real moms) you just throw away and don't recycle. I was actually reordering a pack (with much disdain because they're REDIC as far as price goes) and came across this one. THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST BABY ITEM I'VE EVER PURCHASED!!!! It sticks to the table and my daughter has never tried to lift it up. I love the sections for her food. I love that it comes in a carrying case/container. It's nice because it keeps it sanitary before she uses it to eat AND saves my bag after she's done eating on it. I've been stopped by countless strangers asking me about this when I'm out eating with her. It's easy to wash and you can put it safely in the dishwasher. Any mom friend of mine, both new and experienced, I have purchased this for because it's seriously on my top 10 favorite list of baby item necessities!!!! Seriously, why are you still reading my review...PUT THIS IN YOUR CART AND BUY IT!!!!!

We're doing baby led weaning with my youngest daughter so I wanted something easy to travel with for when she eats at a restaurant. I loved that this one comes with a carry case and folds up so it isn't huge. We have two large EzPz mats at home, so I was hoping it would be similar, but this one is half the price.Honestly, this one is not as nice as the EzPz ones. However, as I said, it's half the price. I say it isn't as nice because it doesn't seem to stick as well as the other ones. I think this may be because the bottom isn't flat. Where the raised edges are for the partitions in the plate they actually made the silicone go up so there are spaces on the bottom side. I could easily raise the edges up and move it around versus our other plates stick on the table rather well and don't slide around. I'm not overly disappointed since this is just for restaurants and I like the cute food prints on it, however as my daughter gets older she might try lifting it more and then I might go ahead and buy the mini ezpz mat since those type stick better. So, if your child tends to fling plates, I don't know if I would recommend this one.I didn't feel like returning this one, so it might end up being a back up for when the other is dirty, or I'll just hope my daughter doesn't want to try to lift it. Otherwise it will just end up like another plate.

i loved the idea of this for both home use and for traveling or going out to restaurants and overall it is quite a cleaver design, however, it just didn't work for us. my boy just couldn't put it down long enough to actually eat off of it. it is cute and the red colors very vibrant which at the time i thought would be helpful in getting him to eat from it as we transition from mommy or daddy feeding him to a more independent toddler. there was the crux of the usefulness of this mat… while cute and attractive with vibrant colors, my son saw this as an invitation to pick it up and thereby sling all of his food violently about the room; definitely not what you would want to happen in a public setting and a mat full very colorful, stain causing foods. since i don't want to be out eating a meal and have to pay for everyone's dry cleaning within a two table width radius i opted to toss this. i still think it is a great concept and would be highly useful if you happen to have a child that isn't more curious about the mat than about the food on it.

This is really great for going out. It's lightweight, slim, and the fact that it comes with its own little tupperware is genius. You can just shake off as much food as you can and then shove it in its container to wash at home, and not worry about sauce or sticky food residue getting all over anything. The silicone is sticky enough to prevent accidental plate nudges. The lip of each section is high enough to keep rolling food on the plate.I do wish that the raised ridges of the mat were solid, instead of hollow. While it makes the mat very light and portable, it makes it difficult to clean, and makes it so that the mat can be very easily moved/lifted/thrown. For at home use, I prefer the Nuby Miracle Mat - that thing STICKS and has higher walls to help younger babies grab food easier.

This is great for Littles. Although my daughter can still get her fingers under it and throw it. It would be handier if it actually stuck to when you put it. But it does keep things less messier.
