Best pasta ever
I used to buy the usual supermarket pasta and decided to try this brand for a change. Best thing I’ve ever done. The supermarket pasta that I had in the pantry I’ve given away, as my husband won’t eat anything but this pasta. Said it tastes amazing and holds it shape, unlike the usual store bought stuff. It is definitely more expensive, but absolutely worth it!

Better than supermarket pasta
I do rate the Garofalo pastas. My family consistently prefer them to 'standard' supermarket pastas. They cook evenly and well without falling apart and have a pleasant consistency and taste.

Pasta tubes for my dinner!
I love my tomato pasta with rigatoni, and after seeing the great price and good reviews, decided to grab a packet of this. I usually just boil my kettle, and then pop the pasta and some salt into a saucepan, put the boiled water in, bring back to the boil again and then cook it. Then I drain, and stir sauce in, gently warming and stirring until the sauce is hot and has coated the pasta.Firstly, I wasn’t keen on the packaging. When I cut it open, it tore, so you would need somewhere to store the extra pasta unless you plan to use it all in one go. I won’t remove a star for this though, as I knew what the packaging would be like when I ordered it.The packaging states that the pasta takes 13 minutes to cook. I am not keen on al dente pasta, and had to end up cooking it for around seventeen or eighteen minutes to get to the textured I was happy with. Even then it still retained a bit more chew to it than I’d normally go for, but I was hungry and wanted my dinner! The other brands I use don’t tend to take this long to cook to my liking.Thirdly, a lot of the pasta broke and “unrolled” during cooking. Not sure why this happened as I cooked it the same way I cook other brands. Maybe it’s because I had to cook it a lot longer than it stated? I’m not sure.It actually tasted lovely, and soaked up the sauce very nicely. It was actually nicer than any other rigatoni pasta I’ve tried recently (albeit that’s only two or three different kinds!).So yes I woild recommend it- I just wish it took less time to cook, and came in a box rather than plastic.
