Is there any kind of warranty on this motor?

According to the Dyson website the warranty information is contained in the owners manual. There is no information on the warranty for replacement parts. I'd call Dyson directly. You cannot find any info on warranty terms for replacement parts

will this replacement motor work in a DC40?

I don't know for sure but probably not. I found a picture of a replacement Panasonic (not YDK) motor for the DC40 at https://www.partswarehouse.com/Dyson-DC40-Multi-floor-Upright-s/5912.htm and it does not look to be the same.

Is this work for dc29?

This works fine, easy to replace. Out with the old in with the new motor in twenty minutes. Must have the right tools to do the job!
