Thin sturdy case keeps the Note 9 phone-sized rather than tablet-sized
This is a well made product. I read about 25 other Note 9 cases and this one had some very nice features. First of all, I doubt that any case will keep the face from cracking if the phone fall face down onto a rough surface or a pebble. But this case seems to have good corner protection and the top and bottom edges of the case extend forward by about 1-2 mm beyond the glass, so if the phone fall face down, the glass will not necessarily hit anything and break. Placing the Note 9 face down on a flat surface, I can put a credit card in the space between the face of the phone and the table. Second, the case is not hard plastic. It is slightly malleable. So it is easy to grip. Ergonomically, it is excellent. The volume and on-off buttons have a good feel as they rise just slightly beyond the case edge. The case has as series of little protrusions on the left and right sides that make the phone less likely to get dislodged from your hand. One good thing is that the Bixby button is flush with the case, so I have yet to hit it accidentally. I wish Samsung would make that Bixby button into a button that does something else. Like a mute button. Third, everything works. The cutouts are large so all insertable items (power cord, phone jack, pen) go in and out easily. The fingerprint reader and heart rate monitor all work fine with this case as the cutouts are ample. Fourth, the wireless charger works fine with this case. I have a Samsung plate charger. Finally, the thing that I really like is that the Note 9 is a phone and with this thin case the Note 9 still can be used with one hand. Other cases are much more massive. As such the Note 9 becomes more of a tablet and less of a phone. Other than keeping dust out, it is not clear why one needs a front cover. Those covers are plastic and will not protect the phone glass face from cracking if the phone falls face down on a rough surface. This case is what I hoped it would be. High quality, nice feel, simple, light, translucent and nothing bad about it.

Amazing case. Feels like a little tank of a case.
Case feels great. Buttons are nice and crisp to press. Maybe the volume could be a little more prominent, but I think I'm just getting used to Samsung putting buttons in yet another different place again in the last 2 years. Not UAG fault though. Can confirm wireless power share works just fine. Charged my watch about 5 percent just for the test. I've barely used it but when I did need that feature on my phone it was important then The ridges in the front and back make me very confident in drop situations. I drop my phone very rarely, very very rarely, but I like the idea that this little tank isn't going to be bothered. The camera bump is sort of huge on this phone but this case makes it feel flush and fits that bump amazingly. I'd suggest this one to anyone, and it looks so awesome. I'm a football coach and I am not afraid of taking the phone onto the field with this case in it

Amazing case as expected
i found UAG years ago when i was a iphone user. no one i knew had ever used them, and there was not a lot of reviews yet on the internet for them. i gave them a shot back then and to this day, probably 10-12 phones later they have never let me down. i have used them on all my iphones and now android phones. Currently i have the UAG Monarch in Crimson on my Galaxy Note 9. This was my first time coughing up the extra $$ on the monarch series. I've normally always used the plasma line. This thing is a tank of protection for the small size it adds to a phone. i probably try another brand case once or twice a year just to compare and always struggle to hit 2 weeks with others. I have dropped several times, even kicked it trying to catch it with my foot after missing with my hands and never gotten a scratch, dent, or crack. Several of my friends have broken their phone screens with other branded cases and have switched to UAG based on my experience. the case has just enough on the sides that keeps the phone screen off the ground when laying face down. this is a must for me as most screen protectors take away from the nice screens used i phones today. Also hard to find a good screen protector for curved screens. i highly recommend UAG's monarch or plasma line.

My 3rd phone to wear a UAG case
Purchased the Monarch for my Note 9. Preliminary impressions are good. Case arrived on time and was a snug fit for my phone. Openings were in the right places and do not obstruct the ports or sensors. It's early days for this case, so I base my durability review on past experience. I started using UAG cases over 4 years ago, first with a Note 4 and then an S7. I still have both phones, and both are still wearing a UAG case. I have used my phones in the snow, rain, and dust. I have used them while covered in various nasty chemicals while working on fueling systems. I have used them in the field while instructing and competing with firearms. I have handed my phone to small children to play on. The sum total of damage to all my phones: two small chips in the tempered glass screen protector on the S7, where I foolishly put it in a pocket with loose change and walked around. My only complaint is that the Monarch seems to be a little more expensive for the same basic construction. Not that I begrudge $60 to protect a $1k phone, but past cases have been closer to $40 for the same thing. I don't count it as a gripe for me, but the opening for the health sensor on the Note 9 works for me, but is not ramped like it was for my S7. If you have big fingers and like the Samsung Health heart sensor, it may be a tight fit. They did ramp the case for the fingerprint reader though, so no worries about that sensor. I still love UAG. They work great, they look great, and so far they've kept my phone in one piece.

Great Case!
This review is for the UAG Plasma Ice Note 9 case. A lot to love about this case. PROTECTION: I think the thing I like the most is how well the front and the back of the phone is protected. The protective edges of the case raises up a good amount over the camera lens and the front screen of the case. Much more so than other cases. The protective corners on this case are particularly good and durable. APPEARANCE: This Plasma Ice colored case looks great with my Cloud Silver Note 9. The Cloud Silver version of the Note 9 is a special color that can only be purchased thru Best Buy or Samsung directly via their website. I get a lot of complements about how good the case looks. In the picture I provided you may be able to notice some small blemishes. These blemishes are only visible close up under bright light. I didn't notice them until I took a picture of my phone. They are not visible otherwise. Keep in mind I have been using this case for 90 days now with fairly heavy usage and it has survived a few drops. GRIP: The phone is easy to hold and is not slippery at all. Plus there are ridges on sides that help. COMPATIBILITY: In addition to this case I also purchased off of Amazon the amFilm Tempered Glass screen protector. This was sold by Tech Matte and it fits PERFECTLY. The protective edges of the case do not encroach on the screen protector. So no fear of the case lifting the screen protector up. Plus the tool which comes with the amFilm protector ensures it is perfectly aligned when placed on your Note 9. In addition the case fits the phone well. It doesn't move around. Snug. And it is not hard to put on. The power / volume buttons are nice and 'clicky' and are very easy to press with minimal effort. Plus they have different texture patterns on them to help you tell one from another by touch alone. CONS: The only one I came across (and other reviewers have stated this too) is that the 5 pads on the back of the phone (that look like black rivets) will sometimes stick to the phone when you remove the case. They are not adhesive in any way but sometimes one or two of them will come off (I guess due to suction). Fortunately I didn't lose any of them and I just had to pop them back in. However I have to say they are very secure in the other direction and I can't see them falling off from the outside of the case. GRADE: Overall I would give this case a rating of 4 stars. Minus 1 star for the rivets falling out once. However I would not let that deter you from purchasing this case. It is very much a 5 star experience for the most part. If I could go back in time 90 days ago I think I would purchase the exact same case again. However perhaps in the Ash color. But I got to say the Plasma ICE color is beautiful with the Could Silver Note 9. Very tough decision on which color to pick. I would recommend either one.

Stylish durable case
This case fits my Samsung Note 9 perfectly. The materials lend a feel of quality; metal frame and torx screws in back with leather showing behind the frame and brushed silver "UAG" logo out back. The front and sides are a rubber surround with slightly raised corners for screen protection and a grippy hexagonal texture on the sides that never feel slippery and also the buttons aren't difficult to press. Overall has a nice tough tactical vibe to it. Really very nice. Oh and it doesnt seem to attract dust in the cracks like some cases.

Best case I've used for note 9
If you are reading this and are undecided on which case to get, this is the best one I've used. I have Supcase unicorn beetle, Spigen ultra hybrid, UAG plasma (very good case), and this, Plyo which is the best out of all 4 listed Pros: 1. Very Grippy everywhere 2. Differentiates between bixby and volume buttons 3. Surprisingly slim, even slimmer than the UAG Plasma. 4. PERFECT cutouts 5. Will not pickup fingerprints or lint from your pocket. 6. Very nice feeling on the back 7. DOESN'T get the water/wet look on the back like most see through cases 8. Good lips on top and bottom to protect the screen. "good raisivity" -Flossy Carter 😉 Cons: why aren't you buying this phone case?? This is a one and done case! Seriously I have zero issues with this case. Maybe the only con is the price. $40. But imo it's totally worth it.

Excellent protective case!
I've gone through a lot of cases throughout the years and I'm really picky. I don't believe in warranties, too, so getting a really good case is my priority. I used this case on my Note 9 and it felt secure and protective. Mind you, I haven't tested it out because I don't like to test out expensive mobile phones but if I was a betting man, and I'm not, I'd wager the case would protect my Note 9 from harm. Like everything else, a case will not 100% protect a phone from damage. It's just common sense, but I believe a very good case can sway the odds to your favor when you accidentally drop your precious. The case looks good and feels worth the price with the quality parts.
