Sojos Complete Beef Recipe Dehydrated Dog Food, 7 lb, Yellow

I love feeding Sojos dog food to my best buddy. As far as I know, I do not think they have had any recalls -( I use a site called dog food advisor to make sure nothing I feed her is recalled) It is reconstituted with water and is easy to make - Saves on space as it is freeze dried and the bottom line is, it is a really healthy food for my dog. I do wish it weren't so darn expensive but, in the long run, the old saying "you are what you eat" goes for your fur friends too. I make very few trips to the vet. So far only check ups and teeth cleaning. This is amazing considering my best friend is a retired greyhound and did not get the best start in life. I adopted her when she was 2 years old and she is now 6 years old. (Knock on wood) she has been extremely healthy) I spend more money on her food than mine and I wish there were coupons or some kind of program where after buying a certain number of bags you get one free. Anything that would help those of us who want to do what is right for our pets but are not wealthy. It is getting to a point where only those with big bucks can afford a pet. I believe if you are going to take on the responsibility of taking care of a living creature, you should do it right or not do it at all. Far too many people think giving their dogs any old junk kibble or canned food is acceptable. In my opinion it is not. Taking care of an animal of any kind takes a lot of work, time, patience and love, along with money. Flea control, rabies shots, teeth cleaning are all very important and since your dog can not speak you have to educate yourself in order to know if and when your dog is in pain. Their teeth are a big deal and can cause tremendous pain (no different than when we have tooth pain) but, they cannot tell us. What your dog eats affects how often they will need to have their teeth cleaned. I highly recommend Sojos dog food and along with a topper that is high in protein. So many people tell me, " It is so good you "saved" her" and I always reply, honestly it was the other way around. She is my best friend and I feel spending the money for a quality dog food is one way to show her I love her. Having extremely rare vet bills is a plus. My gal, like all dogs and pets, deserve food that is healthy for them. I also have the peace of mind that Sojos is (so far) a safe dog food without any recalls. That in and of itself, is worth the money I spend for 2 bags every 6 weeks. I am disabled and live far below the poverty line but, she is my priority. I waited six years before I knew I would be able to afford all that comes with the responsibility of having a pet. It took a lot of research to find a dog food I could trust that would pass my tests and Sojos is it! Now if they could only lower the price a bit... Ha ha ha!

My Yorkie mix has had pancreatitis and is on a low fat strict diet. This has been wonderful for her! She eats it right up and has had no flareups.

I love being able to pronounce all the ingredients in my dog’s food. Being able to see the ingredients shows the quality difference between processed dog food. The bag is plenty big for my dog, but I was able to buy bigger bags in the past when I had more dogs. The food is a bit messy when made and eaten but it’s worth a quick clean of my dogs face and ears after meal time for him to be this happy and healthy after over three years of eating this food exclusively.

Transitioning my dog over to raw so using this food to ease into it. So far she loves it and is a picky eater. Definitely have to shake the bag to redistribute all the contents but that’s not a big deal. Expensive but worth it for us. UPDATE: First few days were good but then caused multiple loose BM daily. Had to stop feeding dog this food and she finally returned to normal.

We started my dog about 1.5 years ago on Sojos Beef, & recently switched to the turkey formula for lower fat content (13% vs 17% for the Beef). My dog goes nuts for this food, & she has less gastro issues on this than kibble. This is freeze dried raw food that you add water to & let soak for 15 minutes to activate the nutrients. At the end of 15 minutes, if the food looks dry at all, add a little more water. My dog drinks less water out of her bowl now that she is on this, & with the food, I'm adding about 1.25 cups of water each meal, for about 2.5 cups of water per day. This food has been wonderful for my dog. I recommend comparing cost per pound of food. Typically, the larger food bags are a better value, & when I see them on sale, I stock up for savings. My dog had trouble with "gulpies" & acid reflux for many years until we switched to this food. It doesn't stop the episodes from happening, but we've moved from having an episode every 3 weeks on kibble, to a few times a year with this food. I would really like to see Sojos offer a beef or turkey with a fat content of under 10% if possible, to help dogs with pancreatitis & IBD issues.

Changed their recipe gives my dogs diarrhea now.. they were on it for years and can't have it since it's mostly protein powder now. Try farmers dog.

I have given this and the senior formula to my dog and she loves it. She is almost 9 years old and has great energy.

BB eats it with relish and Sochi eats it last of the other food in his serving. Yep - loose stool seems to be an outcome of this food. This product is just a part of what the boys are fed as it was to be a transition to it as the major part of their diet. After the 7 pound sack is finished I will not reorder. One reason is it seems to not be all that good and another is since I ordered the first sack the price rose by about 25%. A meal for my dog costs more than my meal - or so it seems. With an appetizer and a glass of wine, then my meal is more expensive.
