This is not the first Alpatronix case I’ve owned. I had several for iPhone 13 max pro and they all worked great and on one when it had problems I got a replacement via warranty fairly simply. I always liked their products and felt like they stood behind them!!! Before I bought the case for my 16 Pro Max I read the reviews and found an alarming amount of complaints about them falling in short order - days to weeks, but as with any product I always expect a % of people to be harsh and not pay attention to how things are to actually work vs their expectations. So I stuck with my gut and past experience and made the purchase and registered it so I got the two year warranty:) expecting nothing but greatness:) Now for the good and bad: Good: Same case style, good and grippie, not too heavy and it protects both screen, camera and back very well, fits very nicely except around the camera / function button I wish they would have had it in more of the hard case vs flimsy silicon/ rubber material. But not a big deal at all. When it actually works - mag charging functions correctly ie place on mag charger and it will charge both the phone and case. Bad: I have had it now for about 3 weeks. After about 5 days I would have random failures to charge my phone when I put it on my mag Qi charging stand. At first I figured it was just me and I didn’t pay attention to how I placed it, but then I started paying attention and making sure my phone showed it was charging. At this point I have paid very close attention and if it does charge via mag it is extremely slow not a QI fast charge at all ie it takes up to 6 or 8 hours to charge my phone. Or won’t charge it at all. This can be if case is fully charged or not, it doesn’t seem to matter!!! I’ve tried to reset the case IE remove phone then press and hold the case power button for 15 seconds then reinstall phone and attempt mag Qi or direct connect Qi charging again, if it does work, it still SLOW charges. Now on to plugging into a Qi high wattage charger via type C cable still very slow to charge phone or the battery case at least 2 to 4 hours to charge case or phone and if both are low takes 4 to 6 or more hours. But it will at least charge vs mag Qi charger;( If I put my phone directly on my mag Qi stand it goes from 5% to 100% in 1 to 1.5 hours. If I plug my phone directly into type C cable to high wattage block or Cigarette lighter adapter it goes from 5% to 100% in less than 1 hour Bottom line looking for a better case that supports mag Qi charging and is reliable. To Alpatronix: I hope you look at the connectivity mag safe Qi fast charging issues and come up with a new and improved design. Cost is not the issue, I would gladly pay $100 dollars for a quality case like this that has a good battery and is truly mag safe Qi fast charging the other improvement would be to integrate directly into apple’s battery management system. The Apple cases I owned for the iPhone X were awesome @ $120 dollars and yours was great 2nd option when I went to the iPhone 13 since Apple no longer offered a case of their own but again cost is not the issue and I would gladly pay $100 to $120 for a case that meets all of the features!!!

I have used Alpatronix since the iPhone 11. Working at a high school where my hours can easily run into 14-16 hour days, I need a battery case that is sturdy against accidental drops and ready for use when I need more battery life. As with the others, the Alpatronix iPhone 16 ProMax covers those necessities and despite the great battery life the iPhone 16 ProMax has, I have already put the battery charging capabilities to use. The case will add some bulk however it is not just a battery pack in a case, it’s a protective case on the outer edges of your phone. It only comes in black. Does include a USB- C cable (I would note at night when charging, charge both phone and case separately as an 8 hour charge will be insufficient for a drained phone and case) and also screen protector if you choose to use it. This case also has wireless magnetic charging capabilities which I find also helps minimize damage to the charging ports after a period of usage. I highly recommend Alpatronix for their battery cases as this simplifies getting through a day without needing a cable or wall charger to keep your phone on par with your day.
