This is a good bow, but to save time, purchase it from the official site instead. They function with professional musicians who will inspect the bow before shipping it over, which guarantees a straight bow, but that's not the case with Amazon - you may get a crooked bow without the inspection. I had to return it because the one I got from Amazon was crooked. Otherwise, still the same item from the same company, and Fiddlerman has fantastic products.

This bow appears well made and arrived today in good condition in its own fitted box within the shipping box. It is a nice weight and well balanced. All of the hairs were intact although a couple years f them are not “in line” crossing over other hairs. The only thing that seems wrong with it is that the bow won’t un-tension completely as if the hair was installed at the wrong length or the screw/frog mechanism is poorly adjusted. The bow arrived partly tensioned, so I suspect someone wasn’t paying attention to a quality checklist. But being carbon fiber, I don’t expect the stick will warp. The hair takes rosin well. It is OK for the money. I will update my review if any problems show up.

Bow looks nice. The hair looks so so. Initially when I received it, it looks like the hair is under constant pressure. The screws that supposed to loose it doesn't do any difference. Customer service told me it is normal and said it was stretching the hair. I still thinks the screws isn't doing its job. Also, one thing in common with other review, the bow middle bounces a lot. My other bow doesn't do that. I am trying different ways to avoid it, but was not successful. Not sure whether it is because of the weight? Overall, this bow is ok for beginners.

I chose Carbon Fiber for my 11yo son, because he is prone to dropping his bow or leaving it out where it could get sat or stepped on. He has been practicing and getting much better at playing so I also wanted to reward him with a nicer bow than the CF bow he had been playing on. It is really well made and he loves playing it. I will definitely be getting another one if this one ever gets lost.

The bow is satisfactory for a student bow. It sounds nicer on my daughter's instrument than the bow that came with her student violin. My only two complaints are, it seems to break 2-3 strings every time it is played, it is not being used hard or inappropriately. The other complaint is that the carbon fiber does not hold its arc when the hair is slightly tightened. I would think that the carbon fiber would be rigid enough to hold its arc, but this bow acts as though it is made of plastic with regard to how the bow starts to bend when the hair is tightened. I have checked to make sure that my daughter isn't over tightening the bow, and she is not. If the hair is tightened so its not touching the stick, the hair can only be tightened very slightly before the stick begins to lose its arc.
