They must have upgraded as it came with three Y-cables so you can choose your power source. Can be powered from the rain sensor, mirror dimming port or windshield camera. If you want parking mode you will have to purchase the optional wire harness and hardwire to the fuse panel or OBD port. Super easy install and no routing cables unless you get the optional rear camera. Only negative is I wish it had a GPS module for location and speed stamping. *UPDATE* When running the rear camera cable go down the drivers A-Pillar, under the front and rear door sills, then back up the back door and it will be an exact length. You won't have 6-8 feet of cable left over that you have to hide in the headliner. This route will also keep you away from the side airbags which are in the tops of the doors. Review: I had an issue with the connectors not matching my vehicle. After a few message exchanges with photos they found the right part and shipped it. The new connector arrived a week later, installation was a snap. Video quality is very good. Their instructions cover the basics but fail to mention the Video Settings and recording loop length. Loop Length keeps the video files smaller. A 5 Minute loop was almost 500MB in size with sound recording that turned out to be worthless, just fan noise. You won't miss anything with shorter loops, it automatically creates a new file without blinking. Based on my experience I recommend before you order, remove the cover from your windshield and check the wiring connections vs the photos in their advertisement. Take a photo of the wiring connections. Once you place an order you will receive a followup email to make sure you ordered the correct version for your vehicle. Be sure to include the photo of the wiring connectors to avoid the situation I experienced. It turns out my Ranger Lariat did not have Rain Sensor but did have a powered rear view mirror for automatic nigh-time dimming. The connectors were different vs if it had a Rain Sensor. Given the video file sizes I suggest going out and buying your own 256GB Micro SD card that's suitable for Video. A 10 Mile drive took almost 3GB of storage space. 256GB is the Max size this camera system can handle. They're only $25 at Walmart. Additional note. Many reviews report the camera and SD card get very hot. I first experienced the same concern. However after TURNING off the AutoJoin for my Phones WiFi connection the problem went away. Finally, night vision is OK. It clearly shows what’s illuminated by the headlights and street lights but the exposure settings are automatically adjusting the same as you experience using your cell phone. In this case, it’s good enough for the purpose of recording traffic activity.

Semi simple to install. Camera quality could be better. It does seem to have an issue with randomly not recording. There has been three times where I wanted to watch something and the camera just didn’t record during that time frame

After removing the factory cover, the unit they gave me was too small and actually fit inside the old one I just took off! Poor design, cheap quality plastic and none of the electronic connectors were made for the connectors on the truck! What a waste on time and money on this piece of junk!
