pretty decent for a canned chili, nice over hot dogs, chips, potatoes, etc
All my cans look good, has some decent flavor. Some spice but not hot hot. Can be eaten as is, or use it to flavor up other chili base, or use over rice, pasta, chips, etc. I normally dont just buy canned chili as use as a chili. For that, I prefer to make my own. But I would add this into a homemade chili if need be. And I would use it on just about anything else. So yeh, pretty good on its own or over other stuff. But that's just me. Your experience may vary.. so take reviews as just that. I would look for comments pertaining to quality-- dented cans, weird taste beyond realm of reasonable, if anything looks off, etc. A simple "yuk" or "yum" is just an opinion. That being said, I find this to be "yum". hahaBasically.. it is a good addition to long term pantry/emergency food. Has good amount of protein, fiber per serving. 2 servings per can, loaded with sodium as to be expected. Lends to a long shelf life. Not too shabby a price. I do not rate on price as I can clearly see the price before purchase. It isnt a mystery. Also, we all have different budgets, needs, preferences, there are price fluctuations, price and demand, availability etc. So, if price looks good to you, then go for it. As of 04/2022, Currently around $25, or $22 if doing subscribe and save. I think stuff like this around $2 a can (especially with rising prices) is a fair deal. You do you.Generous 5 stars as it pretty much meets my expectations all around

Very good chili
We really like this chili but can't get it at the grocery store. Shame cause it is really pretty good. Very close to homemade. Nice big beans and a great chili flavor. We enjoy it.

The quality is good. Might like a bit more meat.I like it. Not fantastic but better quality than others.

Yes it's pretty spicy
I like spicy hot food and am often disappointed when what I purchase doesn't live up to that. But this chili is sufficiently spicy and gets spicier the more you eat. Quality is the usual Stag quality which is good. A little bit over priced but I will buy it again.

Chili... for Dessert?!?
This is Hormel's "fancy" brand, apparently. And it appears to be nearly as rare in the Eastern half of the country as a Republican politician who understands that their job is to responsibly govern instead of attacking their political opponents and spreading hate, fear, and misinformation - so I decided to try it. And it turned out to be... okay. It's not nastier than three-day old roadkill (like Wolf brand chili). But it is kind of odd. It tastes sweet, like maybe the meat in it had gone off slightly. I mentioned it to Mom, and she said that some people must think that chili is supposed to be served after dinner, for dessert, because they put sugar in it. Seems crazy. Maybe that got started during the Great Depression, when people were so poor that they could barely even feed their own children... if a stranger knocked on the door - hey, it's hard to turn anyone away when they're starving, but your kids come first, so what do you do? Make chili, but put sugar in it! Most folks would probably go somewhere else next time - problem solved. With that out of the way: This chili isn't extremely greasy like some is. It's not "soupy," either, which is good if you don't like to crumble a bunch of saltine crackers into your chili to make it stretch farther, any maybe not so good if you do. It purports to be "hot" (in regards to its spiciness) - but it isn't. But it does seem like it would have a decent flavor, if it wasn't sweet. It's definitely edible, so if you're one of the... two(?) people in the universe who think chili should be served after dinner for dessert instead of being the actual dinner - or you screwed up and ordered six cans like I did - you'll be able to eat it. It just won't be "hot" in any sense of the word except temperature. Campbell's Hot and Spicy Chili is more spicy than this (and it's not "hot," either!). You can also put more crackers into it without turning it into a paste. This is okay, but nothing special. If you eat a lot of canned chili, and want to try something different, you might as well try this one. I did - and I survived the experience. You probably will, too.

very good
Canned chili is no replacement for homemade. But this is definitely one of the best canned chilis that I have had.

Best Ever
This is no doubt the beat canned chili 🌶 you can buy. I eat it all the time and love it. Lately I’ve been adding a can of stewed tomatoes 🍅 to it. Omg it makes it even better!! Try it !!!

Good but...
The ingredient list was not correct - the one on the screen did not match what arrived. Hubby is allergic to onion and therefore wasn't able to have any - the person it was purchased for.
