Barney ButterAlmond Butter, Crunchy, 16 Ounce Jars (Pack of 3)

I was a little hesitant about trying this because for one, it only came in a 3-pack (and what if I didn't like it) and two, at 7.61 per jar, it's a little expensive compared to only about 3.00 for Skippy and 4.95 for Smuckers Natural Peanut Butter, but cheaper than Full Circle Organic Almond Butter which comes in at almost 10.00! Regardless, I thought I would give it a shot. I am so glad I did because this stuff is just delicious, absolutely better than any peanut butter I have ever tried and as an added bonus, it's better for you. That said - it's not just simply almonds. It does add evaporated cane juice (sugar) and a little salt. It also adds palm fruit oil, but that particular oil is actually quite healthy for you so I don't mind. I read in another review that they contacted customer service and discovered that they don't include the skins. This explains the color and taste. However, while you still get a good source of monounsaturated fat, calcium, vitamin e and magnesium, you're missing out on many of health benefits only found in its dark skin. Therefore, I would still recommend that you try to eat whole almonds and other nuts but Barney Butter is still a very healthy option and I did I mention it's so very good. I love this stuff!

I love this Barny Butter as I call it....handy for quick bit of protein. AND reasonable compared to lil jar of it one of our local stores sells. I will keep it on hand.

My son's allergist recommended that we try Barney's Almond Butter when my son tested negative for almonds. He is anaphylactic to peanuts, and we had been avoiding all tree nuts as well. The problem with trying tree nuts, is that often they have cross contamination issues with peanuts or other tree nuts. We needed something that was 100% peanut/tree nut free, and Barney's Almond Butter was perfect for that!Before getting the OK for almond butter, we were strictly sunflower seed butter. While we found that to be ok, Almond Butter was a huge improvement in the taste department. The taste is incredible, and I love that I'm able to buy crunchy (as a former crunchy peanut butter addict). I don't find this product to be too sweet, or salty. It's creamy, easy to spread, and doesn't need to be refrigerated.

I first tried an almond butter sauce because Dr. Oz recommended 1 tablespoon at bedtime to help with going to sleep. I like the taste and the crunchy bits make it more interesting.I use it in several ways [being a health nut and quite fit] including on raw apple slices with a little raw honey to make it spread better. When I have a hunger edge and need a quick pick me up before heading out for a couple of hours, a tablespoon of it satisfies the hunger and keeps it from coming back.I consider it an ideal food and I like this brand and reasonable price.

I love Barney's Almond Butter! I usually buy it at Whole foods or Sprouts. This time I ordered it from Amazon in a three pack and it was delivered March 29. However, the three jars had an expiration date of May 16. This is ridiculous!!!!I called the company Barney's, and I explained the situation to them with the expiration date being expired in 6 weeks. They said they have longer expiration dates than that and I should take it up with Amazon. Amazon sent the productuct to me with such a short expiration date - May 16, 2023. When I went return them, I could not. It is one of the items that can't be returned. So mad about this. You can't return something that has virtually no shelf life. I love you Amazon but this is ridiculous. You should either give me a price adjustment or return the Barney's Almond Butter.

I like the flavor, but they need to pull the palm oil out of it. The Amazon pricing is also ridiculous at times. I can find this at ~$10 for a 16oz jar in my local markets. While I've seen Amazon prices drop to ~$8, recent online pricing in the ~$15+ range.

My husband is allergic to peanuts so he can't eat peanut butter - obviously but he can eat this. I had to try this and it does taste pretty much like peanut butter. Which is almost too bad, I like almonds and would rather it would taste more like almonds. This is salty like peanut butter too...so if you can't digest peanut butter this is the product for you.

I have always been a fan of nut butters. I have tried more then I can count. Peanut butter, cashew butter, sunflower seed butter, walnut butter ect, organic, raw. You name it I have gone out of my way to try to. Many of these expensive most not worth the price. I was very pleased with this product. Not only for the amazing taste but also with the price amazon sells it at. Without the subscribe and save it is still way cheaper than other almond butters in the stores. After i finish up these three i will get it sent to my house once every two months and save the additional three bucks. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an alternative to peanut butter. I put this on my toast in the morning. I look forward to it with my coffee. A great buy.
