I had the hardest time finding a good wire craft book. I’m not sure what made try this one but I’m glad I did. It’s awesome it has the very basics and the unique. Pictures are wonderful and it explains in detail.

I checked this book out so many times from the library, I knew I just needed to break down and buy it.The techniques, projects, clarity of pics provided for teaching, are some of the best I’ve seen in a “crafting” tech/ref book. Easily attainable and worthwhile by a newbie, all the way to a seasoned vet. (Especially at this price.)Makes it easy to understand what is essential for wire wrapping, and what you can find and use to accomplish some of the wraps, scrolls, etc, without having to break the bank without buying “jewelry” tools specific to the subgroup.I will mention, as with all arts and crafts, the exact stone, wire, etc., may not always be available to you, but this is to be expected, and where your own unique creative mindset gets to take over and use the author’s “pattern” more as a template to come up with your own one of a kind, remarkable piece!By being patient and doing my research, I was able to find a copy that was listed as “very good” at an unbelievable price. The book was actually in excellent condition.

I highly recommend this book... I found this book to be a helpful tool. Learning how to use the correct wire gauge for each jewelry piece and the different wire technique is a plus. Learning the different types of wire and knowing what tarnishes and what doesn’t is helpful too. Knowing the names of different tools and how to use them... Using household items, I love that tip... Making Jewelry really does opens up your creative side of your mind... The possibility are endless and you have to be opened-minded. The terminology step by step directions are spot on and helpful..Learning the difference between thick to thin wire and how to use the wire is the base, for each jewelry crafter project or jewelry piece. There are so many nuggets and details that’s dropped in this book.. The wheels are turning in my head and I am excited to completed my ideas and drawing...I enjoyed reading this book... I'm just starting. This book got a lot of praise & it appears to be well earned. But it's well above my ability. Keeping it for later, but would have liked to know the skill level in a way I as a beginner could understand.

I’ve been making jewelry off and on for a while, and have an extensive jewelry making library. Although I liked the look of wire wrapping, I consider myself a beginner and I really didn’t want to take the time to learn how. I assumed it would be complicated and time consuming taking the fun out of the process of jewelry making. Upon reading some of the reviews I decided to make the purchase of this book, and I’m happy I did. She presents the info for beginners in an easy to understand manner. The photos are clear and large enough to figure out the patterns. And she builds on your knowledge. Starting with several simple projects which by the end of the book can be combined into more complex styles. I look forward to incorporating her techniques with my work. And yes wire wrapping does require patience as does anything you’re trying to learn.

A good book to start with. Teaches assorted techniques and then builds upon them without overwhelming you with the extremely intricate and complicated weaves that some of my other books on wire weaving immediately jumped into. The projects are all beaded pendants or earrings, no wire wrapped cabochons or bracelets, but the important part is that they are all achievable by anyone who works at them and will lay a foundation for other more intricate styles should wish to learn them. I recommend this book for anyone trying to learn wire wrapping.

If you're into the eclectic jewelry shown on the front cover, then this is the book for you. The information and instructions seem great. I'm just not going to be making this kind of jewelry so it wasn't for me.

This is an excellent 176-page softcover book that is illustrated throughout with color photos. The author starts off discussing tools and wires used in wire-wrapping, the basic shapes made with wire, then goes on to discussing techniques. The techniques shown in this book are mostly for drilled beads, but the beads are not the focus. These methodologies of how to shape the wire for wire wrapping are the focus of this book. One of the interesting things about this book is the author uses almost all copper or bronze colored wire which I really like because the copper color always adds a vintage look. This is a great book for beginners and will be a helpful reference for experimenting with different types of wire.

Learned some new things, great stuff.

Testo preziosissimo per chi si avvicina - ma anche per chi ha già esperienza - alla tecnica del wire wrapping. Non è il mio primo libro sulla materia e posso dire senza dubbio che finora è il più valido, non solo per il modo esaustivo nel quale la materia viene trattata, ma anche per lo stile molto originale e personalissimo delle opere dell'autrice. Seguo anche molti canali YouTube, prevalentemente dagli Stati Uniti e dall'Inghilterra, e posso dire che quest'autrice in particolare è davvero di alto livello. Vale tutti i soldi spesi, peccato non ci sia in edizione con copertina rigida.

Useless, very child oriented and hippie...

I like this book for the creative wire working ideas. I will learn the technique from these projects in order to develop my own style. I also like the smaller size of the book - very portable for summer holidays on the road.
