## Description

Treasure of the East is a minority- and women-owned (MBE & WBE) business founded 27 years ago in Ithaca, New York by Dr. Ann Wang, former ER doctor and teaching physician trained in both Eastern and Western medicine. She sought the very best professional-grade, natural ingredients to provide healthy solutions to her patients and other healthcare providers. We are the exclusive US general agent and distributor for Tianjiang Pharmaceutical, the world's largest supplier of full-spectrum herbal extracts. Tianjiang was the first manufacturer of concentrated herbal extracts to receive China's Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification for pharmaceutical products. Tianjiang has since developed 30 patents on the extraction, granulation, and packaging of herbal extracts and now supplies 8,000 hospitals across Asia, including 80% of China's Traditional Chinese Medicine clinical research institutes. Treasure of the East has been exceptionally proud to provide Tianjiang's premium herbal extracts and private labeling services to American healthcare professionals, medical institutions, contract manufacturers, and health and wellness brands. Our mission, to promote health and wellbeing with the extraordinary power of herbs, continues under Dr. Wang's leadership today.

Review: I had high hopes because a lot of people who have crohns or UC have found a lot of relief in this. I'm not writing this to deter anyone from getting it but I'm sharing my experience. I have severe UC/Crohns (GI still trying to determine). However, in my case with this product, it brought back my night time frequency (was up every hour of the night) and nausea came back with a punch. When I go to the bathroom, I check my stool... it's just something you get used to looking at when you have this disease. When I took this, there were little white "balls" in my stool which was caused by the capsules not being properly digested. I stopped taking this because it made things worse for me. I'm happy for those who found relief from this but also jealous. It just wasn't for me.
Review: Purchased the capsule version, which I notice is not in stock all the time. I read Qing Dai can cause stomach upset and headaches. Thus, I ended up also purchasing gelatin capsules and I halved my first doses. I started with a half dose, once per week. Now I am at a half dose twice per week. Personally, I am using these to treat eosinophilia. In some medical journal I read about its usage in bone marrow derived issues. Always one to try alternative things, I gave this one a whirl. I am due for bloodwork the last week of October 2022, so I will update my review at that time. Currently, I use high doses of liposomal C + reishi mushroom to treat eosinophilia and although I lowered it 1000 points (which is great in my book) I cannot seem to keep in the normal range. I am hoping this is the ticket. Normal treatment of hyper-eosinophilia is glucocorticoids or a low dose chemo drug, so I am pretty happy that my current regimen kept me off those. As a "side effect" ... on the days I take the Qing Dai, I notice my overall inflammation goes down. I tend to have more pep in my step and less achiness. I call that a win, so I had to come here and write a review stating it. So far, no complaints or regrets. I was impressed enough, I just told a friend, whose husband suffers from Crohn's, about this stuff.

## Features

- WHOLE HERB POWER — Treasure of the East Herbal Extracts have the same active chemicals as whole herbs but at five times the concentration, meaning they provide the same range of benefits of whole herbs in a form that's much easier to take. When you choose our herbs, you are choosing the best in natural quality and modern comfort.
- GEO-AUTHENTIC SAURCING — Most herbs grow best where they grow naturally; that's why more than 95% of our raw herbs come from their traditionally sourced regions. The only time we get a herb from a farm outside the traditional region is when the traditional region fails to meet our strict sustainability and quality guidelines. In addition, 100% of our herbs are free of sulphur preservatives

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this tea stain your teeth blue?**
A: It could potentially stain your teeth purple with enough of it consumed as tea, but If you are taking it for health I don't see why you would mix it with water. Dosage is roughly 1 gram per dose. I just put the small amount of powder on my tongue and swallow... doesn't even touch my teeth.

**Q: How much of a tsp is a gram?**
A: The product I ordered came in today and it’s a powder form, not a capsule. 1/4 teaspoon is 1.42 grams though, so you can go from there to increase or decrease your dosage

**Q: Can you purchase these in capsules?**
A: Just measure out one quarter teaspoon and mix with a little applesauce or yogurt or pudding etc. This brand is most effective.

**Q: Are there other ingredients on the bottle?**
A: 100% Indigo Naturalis (Qing Dai) is the only ingredient listed on the bottle

After 16 years of Azathioprine, a chemo type drug, with risks of skin and blood cancers, I ceased taking it, along with Lialda. In the midst of a full onslaught of UC from ceasing those, I stumble upon this Qing Dai pill form. Within two to three days of using this, the bleeding stopped completely. Within two-weeks the cramping ceased well enough to where I was able to attend a public sports function with the wife. (Anyone with UC well knows what I’m saying.) About three weeks into using this, I had a major pain rip through my lower right abdomen. It brought me to my knees. Along with following a strict mediterranean diet for 6 weeks, I started these three weeks into the dietary change. I was feeling great, and super excited to have found a natural and responsive alternative to pharma drugs. But this pain attack was vicious. I thoughit was my appendix. I’m still not sure. I ceased the Qing Dai and over the past week (today being 7 days since the episode, the abdominal cramps and those sharp, localized attacks have dissipated fully. The herb is OBVIOUSLY a legit treatment for UC, because I have personally tried and seen the proof. This adverse reaction I hadis so disappointing to me. I looked up any info I could find in studies about this herbal treatment. Even the NIH study admitted its promise as an effective treatment, yet warning of the lack of long-term research for efficacy. But I narrowed my search to appendicitis. I found a single case where it was used in a young boy for UC, and he suffered acute appendicitis that went away when discontinuing the use of Qing Dai. in most studies that listed adverse reactions, abdominal cramps were among the list. Like anything, many people use it with no issue, and certain few suffer adverse reactions. Unfortunately I seem to be one of the few. I plan to lower the dosage from the four per day I was taking to the minimum I can use without having any reactions, if possible, and hopefully still finding long term remission of UC. I would highly recommend this to anyone with UC, and even psoriasis, as Qing Dai has been a powerful treatment for people suffering that skin disease. But proceed with caution as with any medication. Do your research and know the risks or possibilities of adverse affects to look for. If the Treasure of East folks have any advice or wisdom, please offer. I’m all ears.
