I am left handed. My hand tends to smudge the paper. Is this set a quick dry? If not, could you point me to another set with assorted colors that is?

It won't smear. I'm left handed as well and love the boldness. It's not instand dry but close. The 1.6mm bold puts a lot more ink on the paper, so it does not last anywhere near as long as the original Cristal. I write a fair amount and I get about 10 days only out of one pen. If you like it, I'd say stock up. I would consider this on par with the papermate 700rt.

How do you turn off the secret ink bomb feature? it's spooging ink everywhere.

This has happened to me a couple of times and I toss the pen. As inconvenient as it can be, I still love the distinction of the ink....it’s so clearly evident. I do, however, suggest informing Bic of the problem of ink oozing.

Is there an orange colored pen?

There is no orange. Purple, turquoise, light blue, black, dark blue, pink, lime green and red.

以前「速記用」と書いてあるBIGの黄色く太いボールペンを愛用していましたが、その後継に期待しています。筆記具にこだわりを持ってるライターが多いですが、取材もするわたしは落としても苦にならず、どこでも手に入る筆記具を愛用することにしています。かつては高級なペンやボールペンを好んでいましたが、海外で盗まれたり、落として帰ってこなかったりするうちに、安価で入手しやすいものを使うべきだと考えをあらためました。

A Classic Improved

I think everyone has used the classic Bic crystal pens at one point or another and they were great. However I like to write with a wider line than the usual 1.0 mm classic Bic pen and was buying quite expensive 1.6 mm gel pens instead. I then read a blog by Seattle Sketcher, Gabriel Campanario who was using a Bic Crystal Bold (1.6 mm) pen. I tried it out and loved it. All the advantages of the inexpensive but wonderful classic Bic pen in a bold stroke. Because they put out quite a bit of ink they don't last tremendously long but a fine trade off for a smooth, fun and inexpensive pen for writing or sketching. Recommended.
