full to the top of the basket is about 4" and there is about another inch above that

Q: Is the tank removable for easy cleaning?

The tank is not removable. However, it is easy to clean as the unit is not very heavy and has a drain. I just let the unit drain, keep the drain valve open and rinse. If further cleaning is needed I clean lightly with soap & water with a not scratching sponge and continue drain process

Q: Why does it look exactly like the Vevor brand? Is it because it's a generic cleaner?

From my experience,I believe even vevor is a generic brand. Giant companies in China just make these by the masses and rebrand them to other companies, mine has worked flawlessly for the whole time I've had it, I use it all the time
