Problem
I am having a problem with my Genkon lead as it is bruising my dogs eyes as it is pulling right across them. Is there another halti that I can get that doesn't pull across the eyes,? My puppy is only 6 months old but is pretty much the size of some adult dogs, he is a white Alsation / Husky, has anyone else had these problems and what did they get in place of it please?

Really does help
My young dog is a bit of a demon for pulling despite all efforts to train, I saw this on a Facebook post and decided to give it a try. It's doing the job nicely and I have more control.

I never leave reviews but.....
At almost 6 months pregnant, walking our 2 year old whippet cross was becoming a real issue for me. She would pull, lunge at some dogs and root herself to the spot when she saw other dogs approach or a cat dared to appear! We’ve just got back from our first walk using the Gencon and it was the least stressful walk since we got her nearly a year ago. She tried to claw it off her face for the first few minutes but soon settled down and then walked to heel for almost the entire walk. We saw a cat and she did freeze, but it was easy to break her concentration and carry on walking. We even managed to walk past the bush that she saw a cat in about 3 weeks ago and have had to investigate fully every time we walked past! The instructions included in the pack are not clear at all and I put it on wrong every time I tried to follow them until I watched a YouTube video. Basically, if you remember that as the dog faces you, the black toggle goes behind their right ear, you’ll be able to fit it correctly. This head collar is possibly the best £22 I’ve ever spent, I would recommend it to anyone.

No more pulling and puppy classes now more manageable
I have a 51/2 month Boxer puppy who is very unruly. He is not aggressive but being a typical Boxer he just wants to say hello to everyone he sees when we are out walking. Unfortunately this means he drags me to catch up with people walking ahead of us and then tries to leap all over them. I also take him to puppy training classes where he dragged me all over the place trying to get to the other puppies. I already have him on a harness as he would choke himself through pulling on a collar and lead. He still makes himself cough by pulling sp hard on the harness. The trainer at the puppy class recommended a Gencon. I started using the Gencon for walks this week. At first he was like a bucking bronco, leaping around trying to get it off. After a couple of days he has calmed down and has been really good on walks as he is not able to drag me around. I used it at class last night and after a bit of leaping about when he couldn't jump all over the other puppies he calmed down and class was not such a horrendous experience as it had been previously. I am very pleased with this item.

Great product you'll be glad you bought it !
Some of the best money I have spent . My Welsh Terrier is very stubborn and as a younger puppy walked nicely on the loose lead but recently now that he is bigger and stronger has been pulling like crazy , to the point where it was no pleasure taking him out .This has made a huge difference in only three days and although he will still attempt to pull slightly when he sees a cat or gets really excited I would recommend to anyone that has a dog who is pulling , it is a bit of a hit or miss getting it on the first time but once you are used to it , no problem

If your dog pulls, you need one of these
First of all, this is a great lead. If your dog pulls then you need one of these. It stops your dog pulling. They can't do it with this lead on. In my experience a harness allows your dog to pull therefore dragging you along. A normal collar and lead chokes a dog that pulls. Of course you should also work on heel training, which will imprint what you want your dog to do, because they don't know that pulling is annoying!I've marked it down by one star because the one I bought 10 years ago was made of a better, more comfortable material. This feels a bit like packing tape; strong but a bit cutting. Otherwise, genius!

Gentle correction
What I like: Good quality and a very gentle correction. My 9 m.o. Doberman haven’t touched his face during the walk (in difference to other correction aids). Clips on to a collar (peace of mind)What I dislike: could of been a bit thicker for better grip. Also, when I purchased this item, it was advertised in BLUE and with FREE delivery in the UK. However, item arrived in a bright PURPLE colour and I’ve been charged a whooping £4.49 for two days delivery! If I knew this (colour and delivery cost) before I placed the order - I would chose some another seller which are £10 cheaper!

Transforms lead walking
Bought this for my 10 month old labrador. It instantly transformed her behaviour walking on the lead. Only thing I'd change is to make it out of softer fabric if possible.
