When I first tried them, I thought the 3D effect was poor, but then realized you have to push the button (on top) and then they worked great! I found them comfortable enough to wear and fit around my regular glasses without a problem. You press and hold to turn them on and also off. The only way to know that they are truly off is that that they stop blinking every few seconds. The picture is a little dim, but I've been told that is a side-effect of the 3D.
