Tougher than actual exam, but good resource
This book is moreso for folks looking to overkill their breadth studying for the PE exam. They are great problems, but are generally tougher than the ones on the actual exam. I think its a good resource for those that have the time to go through it, but know that its probably a bit too deep for the breadth.

Good representative mock-exam, worth the money.
Goswami did a splendid job with this book. With less than four months of study time available to me (most of which was punctuated here and there), I knew I could not afford a thorough, fine-tooth-comb-style review. So I wanted a set of exam-style questions that I could work through as a rapid refresher and only return to review the related concepts if necessary. And that worked perfectly - the strategy and the book! The style of the problems in this book (and the equations required to solve them) were adapted from situations presented in the accompanying "all-in-one" text. (That one is another review book by the same author, written like a heavily condensed CERM, and straight to the point). The variety and structure of these questions are good enough to make each one soluble in approximately six minutes - the theoretical time available per question. For my prep, I created a comprehensive, handwritten, index-like list of all subject areas and all likely topics on the exam, then annotated each entry with the author/book/tab number/page number containing similar problems. Finding information afterwards was seamlessly smooth for me. If it matters, I would say the exam itself was slightly easier than this set of questions. But I must add, too, that this is a somewhat subjective perspective as what constitutes a difficult/easy morning PE exam can depend on the individual, percentage of his/her specialty area contained in the morning exam, study material used, or even one's instantaneous perception of each question during the exam. Along with Ruwan's PE book (four-exam set) which I also left a review for, Goswami's book worked well for me.

Good Practice Exam
I used this to help prepare for the Civil Engineering Transportation Professional Engineering Exam in Iowa. The questions on this test were definitely harder on average than the questions that the NCEES puts in their practice exam, and actual exam. They were of very similar quality though. I would definitely recommend this book as an extra piece of study material. At 20-30 dollars (can't remember exactly what I paid for it) this item is a very good addition to your study materials. There were a few errors I noticed in the book, but all together it was pretty accurate. I hope he continues to put out new books in the future with new questions to help others as the test evolves. Good luck to everyone studying. Be sure you get in 100+ hours of study time (obviously this can vary but is a good benchmark) and familiarize yourself with the materials as best you can so you can recall and find information quickly.

A bit more difficult than the real test
These "practice tests" are slightly more difficult and time-consuming than the actual test (which I passed). If you can pass these, you should be set for the real deal. Your best bet for a realistic practice test is still the one made by NCEES. Unfortunately, they only have the one, so if want to take more than one practice test (and you should), this is a decent option. I also had an issue with one question not being stated clearly, but you know what, that happened in the real test too.

Decent practice problems for the PE Civil Exam
Good practice problems for the PE Civil exam. The questions seemed slightly more difficult than the NCEES practice exam and the actual PE exam breadth portion. Overall the questions were ok and covered the various exam topics, so if you need more example problems and extra practice, I would recommend getting this book.

2 good PE am practice exams
Two quality PE am sample exams. Similar in style to NCEES sample exams. Very good practice for the test. Learned alot from them. Once you have a base of knowledge sample problems is the only way to study for the exam. Work as many problems as you can. This book has quality problems. All PPI and CERM practice problems take to long and are discouraging. These are the problmes you want to work. Good luck.

Terrible solutions guide, bad first choice.
Problems in this book are completely unrepresentative of the PE. They involve way too many steps compared to the actual exam, so anyone studying by practicing these problems is sure to get stressed out that they can't solve each question in six minutes. The solutions section of the book is even worse. Solutions don't show units, have very little explaination, and do complex algebraic simplification between steps (without annotations) that is just confusing for a studier to follow. This book is written for people who already have a PhD and find things like calculus integrations "trivial."You'll get lost trying to figure out what this guy is doing. I highly recommend PE prepared books before this one. Only grab this if you absolutely need more problems to practice on.They definitely cover a wide range of PE topics but I would pass on this one.

Helpful practice exam book
The sample problems in this book really helped me prepare for and pass the Civil PE exam in April. I purchased this along with several other practice exam books, and I would advise anyone planning to take the PE exam to do the same... These are a lot cheaper than re-taking the exam! Some of the problems in this book were a bit more challenging than the morning problems I encountered on the real exam, but they were still good practice. This book is also a good value since it contains two sets of practice exams.
