Great quality video and pics. Spotty durability.

I have owned a lot of these cameras. I've recommended to so many people online that have seen my samples that I wish the company would give me some free cameras. They have excellent video and photo quality including at night. I really like the overall quality.I bought 4 of them in an initial purchase and there was clearly a software problem. I wrote the president/ceo of the company an email and a letter by USPS and never heard back from the company at all. That really disappointed me.I've had ant and water damage to this camera. I guess that can happen with others but these are made to be outdoors and I would hope the water damage in particular would not happen. I've had some break within a year and have to be replaced.Contacting them for warranty coverage was not even worth it to me. Shipping at your own cost, no guarantee they can fix anything, etc.All considered, I am buying a few more as the overall quality is very good on the photos and video.

So good I bought another!

The media could not be loaded.  I'm a wildlife observer not a hunter. My intentions for this camera is to take high definition video of animals in their natural habitat. I'm sure other purchaser's will be looking for stills rather than video so I can't speak for that. The setup for the camera was straightforward. I honestly wish Browning would take away the friendly naming of menu items like HIGH / ULTRA or NORMAL/FAST or STANDARD/RAPID and use the display to tell us what it really means. 3 sec delay .3 sec delay etc... For what its worth the manual is an easy read and explains all of it in detail so its not a big deal. My only gripe is that night videos are only allowed for 20 seconds of duration. If its not hazardous to the electronics of the device I would love if Browning updated the firmware to allow users that aren't worried about the battery implications of running the IR blasters for a longer period of time to bump that to at least 60 seconds. I bought a steel lock box from camlockbox (Highly recommended) and a camo masterlock python lock. The video quality (night or day) is exceptional! I have seen video from the 4k cameras that doesn't seem to match it. I was considering the spec ops advantage but I feared the night videos may become too grainy. For the price I would love for Browning to register these serial numbers and allow for a password lock to make people think twice about stealing them. In the meantime I hope people's honesty, the camlockbox case and the python lock as well as keeping them out of well travelled areas will keep them safe.

As a long term trail camera user, this camera definitely exceeded my expectations. Set on the 12 MP setting, the pictures are much clearer than any of my previous camera results. The only reason it gets a 4 rather than 5 star rating is that I think it should be sold with a larger SD card. Set on a multiple shot setting, it took 2500 shots in less than a week and filled up the card. I found that often, the second shot (out of four) was the best one - so I plan to a) reduce my shot multiple from four to two and b) purchase a 64MB card so that I can last 8 weeks rather than 6 days.

The media could not be loaded.  I was debating between the Recon Force Advantage and Recon Force 4K models. The detection range is solid, the 60 frames per second 1080p video is excellent. I set it to camera mode and got a few pictures. Excellent as expected. I haven't decided if I like the faster "burst mode" or the steady (every 3 seconds) multi shot. Truth be told, I'll use the video feature almost all the time. The setup is easy and I like the built in viewer to see exactly where the camera is pointing. The nighttime video is good; the daytime video is excellent.I received the trail camera in 2 days, as posted. Very happy with the service.

it seems to work like it says.

we just received this four days ago. we've used it twice, to check what animals are in the back space. the pictures aren't real bright and clear as its at night. Also we had to call and talk to customer service to get the battery compartment open, it is tough to open, just pull hard.

Easy to set up and use

I am not using for hunting but rather trying to find out what is burrowing in my hillside. Neighbor says mountain beaver. All I know is so far it has only caught me checking on it. I also hope to catch the deer and occasional bear that traverse our property here in the PNW.I like the on board screen to review the captures. So far I have only been playing with the video, but the quality on my MacBook Pro is great! At first I thought the Camo coloring was a bit overdone, but now I like it for theft reasons.

lasted only 16 months

I purchased this camera in October, 2019. In February 2021 (16 months old, or 6 months after warranty expired) the camera began having the following problem: any changes to the original settings are lost after 1 minute or so. This means that the camera is stuck with factory settings; therefore basically unusable. To me this sounds like a software (or firmware) problem, and thus should have been easy (and cheap) to fix. I sent the camera to Browning, and got the following reply: "we no longer have the needed parts available and/or the repair cost would exceed that of a new camera". Conclusion: I don't think that a camera that lasts just 16 months is worth purchasing. As a side comment, while the camera was still working, I noticed the following undocumented feature: in multiple-shot mode, the resolution goes down to 2 Mp, a value that the manual does not even list! (the lowest is supposed to be 4 Mp)

Great camera

Clearest sharpest video/picture I ever got from a trail cam. Has been up for about a month now in a high traffic area battery seems to last they are at about 50% with over 2000 pictures and 300 20second videos.
