Looks new in its package. It'll be a Christmas present so I dont know how it works at this point. I have confidence it'll be fine and will update it if it isn't. Update: It works perfectly and allows the family to play games together so, I'm happy.

Gorgeous controller, I'm so glad Sony put out some crystal shades in their slew of DS4 color options because they've always been my favorite kinds. The red looks so dang good too, they've knocked it out of the park with their bold colors IMO, it'd be really easy for a lot of them to just look super tacky but instead all the colors I've seen just look really cool.s Also, I know I'm probably the last person to the party all these years later, but the sticks on this feel SO much sturdier than the original controllers. Like, they look near identical but the rougher texture is noticeable and they feel harder and a lot more resilient. This is the first DS4 I've bought because my launch controller did just fine with some stick covers until now. That is until I finally wore those covers out a few months ago (holding up for 5 years of consistent use is pretty good though I think), took them off, and proceeded to keep playing DMC4SE on it with no protection and absolutely destroyed the left stick in like 4 days. This one? I have no worries as of yet, I've been playing the same game off and on for about 2 weeks now and there's not a single bit of wear on either stick. So good for Sony for addressing the issue.
