Daiwa Acculite Salmon/Steelhead Spinning Rod

Can’t say enough this rod loads perfectly. I took it out for the first time and caught 2 nice smallies. You feel the hit in the handle and hook set is instant. I bought the 8’6” Medium and can’t wait to use it in saltwater. I love good rods at a good price point. Most rods out there are just too expensive for your average fisherman. Buy it you won’t be disappointed.

The rod says it could handle 1 oz but i suggest going wth 3/4 oz max. I haven't had a problem so far and works well. Light surf fishing is so much exciting compared to the heavy gear i was fishing with before. Great rod for beginners or if you are a weekend warrior. Ive been using it for a couple of months.

Bought this rod to do some light inshore fishing. Gave it a quick look over when it arrived and I saw no visible cracks, however, the tip broke on just the third cast made. I was using a 3/8 ounce jighead which this rod is rated for. It looks great, but I cannot recommend it. Luckily there was a tackle shop right across the street from where I was fishing. I purchased a Shimano Scimitar, which was also less expensive and it feels so much better than the Daiwa. It's a possibility the rod was damaged prior to use or was just defective, but I would recommend the Shimano. It just feels much more sturdy.

I have 3 rods: 8’6” med lite, 8’6” med, 9’0” med. Caught many fish with these rods: walleye, hybrids, strippers big carp. All three have stood up well, no issues. Highly recommend these rods!

Great rod, great casts and flexibility. The rod is sometimes difficult to put together or take apart, so I worry about future problems, although I have had none yet.

I have received 1 damaged parcel. The fishing rod is broken . This is really a bad thing I get from Amazon.
