Great picture and flawless connectivity
I have to start by saying I love this tv. Its deep black picture is close to perfect you can still notice the halo effect just a little but not to bad. On a black screen the tv looks like it is off. The setup was simple and easy. Its great value for the money. The connectivity is pretty good I haven't used the tv connected to wifi as I like wired connection and on wired connection the tv works perfectly. The remote control is a bit on the cheap side but I do love that it lights up when you touch it. The sound of the tv speaker are lousy how ever so I highly suggest getting a soundbar.

Extremely impressed with the quality of the image of this TV
Extremely impressed with the quality of the image of this TV. Just upgraded from 2016 model of 'singing sam' brand, and man has Mini-LED surpassed Direct LED over the years. Shadows and colors are amazing. I didn't realize that things didn't look fully real on my old TV until I got this one. I ordered the TV around the time of, and it arrived the day before, the Super Bowl. So, my first experience with 4K Ultra HD was on this TV watching Super Bowl LX. I didn't care who won, I just wanted to see a good game ... recent SB's have been amazing. This one was a bit of a let down, but what wasn't a let down was the display of the game on this TV as streamed through the Peacock Plus app. The game looked and sounded amazing! Ice hockey, for that matter, looks great too! No more "fuzzy puck" during long passes as my old TV struggled to render a small, black, fast moving object on a white background. The sound, in general, is also an upgrade to my aged sound bar. The integrated speakers are actually pretty good when set up correctly (stand vs. wall mount). I turned down the treble and increased the bass initially ... then I decreased the bass a little because even some hair care product ads were rumbling. Who knew they had bass in them? The integrated speakers won't compete with high end sound bars or surround systems, obviously, but for normal viewing they are pretty good. The remote control is simple and easy to use. It has buttons to load some common apps directly. It lights up when you pick it up, but the light is very subtle. Very well designed remote with intuitive layout. The buttons you often use together are near each other. One of the reasons I upgraded my TV is because of the speed of the interface when switching apps. Sometimes it was quicker to just turn the TV off and back on rather than try to switch apps directly. The TCL 55QM7K is extremely fast and responsive when navigating through the menus and responding to inputs. The Google TV / Android system is very intuitive and easy to learn (Mac/iPhone guy ... this TV supports AirPlay!). The TV comes with some apps installed (Netflix, and a few others). I initially did not set up the Google TV portion or link the TV to my Google account (I never associated my Windows 10 or 11 installs with my Outlook account either). But, I found with this TV that, if I wanted to download more apps, I would have to do this. So, once I completed that portion, downloading the rest of the apps was easy. I get a lot of free streaming services through my cable provider, and this TV supports all the apps for those services (which my old TV did not ... another reason for upgrading). Overall, I am very pleased with the display and function of the TCL 55QM7K ... especially for the price I paid. I have ordered a new sound bar. I will update this review after some time of ownership if I experience any issues. RTINGS.com has a great review and some recommended calibration settings for this TV as well.

High Quality TV that's more Budget Friendly
I bought this TV after some serious deep diving on multiple websites and YouTube. The QM7K is a bit more budget friendly than buying an equivalent Samsung or Sony, which at the time I purchased this, were going for at least $1000 more than this. For a TV under $2000, this was perfect. It's huge and has very good picture quality and the sound system is great, too. I use a Sony sound bar, but I wouldn't even really need it if I didn't already have it. The bass was really good when I tested it out. I have even confused having the soundbar on/off a couple of times. I've had this TV for 6 months now and I am huge fan. The viewing quality of the TV is exactly what I was looking for on my PS5 or with YouTube TV, Netflix, etc. I haven't noticed anything funky yet and it is still just as fast as it was out of the box. Just make sure if you're going to get a TV this large that you can sit roughly 9-12 feet back from it. I also haven't really noticed any viewing angle problems that I saw come up during some of my research. Apparently the viewing angle on this is supposed to be a bit more narrow than some comperable 85" class TVs like the Sonys and Samsungs. Has been a non-issue for me personally, but I tend to sit in roughly the same spot when I game/watch TV or movies. I haven't had any company complain when the couch is filled up, either. In my research, it came down to this model and a Sony Bravia. I can't remember the exact Sony Bravia, it was back in August of 2025, but alas. Decided to save a bit a money and purchase this TV and thus far, no regrets. The Bravia was more than $1000 in price difference for the 85" if I recall it correctly. If you're looking for a bit more of a "budget friendly", but still high quality TV, I'd recommend the QM7K. There are a ton of YouTube reviews that will help you in your research and I highly recommend watching them. It helped me make my decision. When you're spending this much money, you owe it to yourself to not make a hasty decision that you'll regret. I'll try to remember to come back to this at the 1 year point with any additonal thoughts.

Great TV overall, but a couple of warnings for specific situations
Great TV (55”) with excellent glare reduction. We place it in a very bright room with white furniture and carpet, so our previous TV struggled. This one is clear and keeps the picture crisp, even with bright light streaming into the room. It’s super easy to set up as well. Found configuration setting online (Reddit) so was able to dial in the color perfectly because it is said to run a little green. I actually dialed back the red a bit to bring back a bit more of the green, so it’s near life-like now. My biggest concern was with the base. I bought a similar TCL (85”), and it had the two legs on the side for a base. It didn’t matter because I mounted that one on the wall. For this one, though, it stands on a console table, so the base was important. It turns out that it has a single base in the center, which is a relief. It’s reasonable sturdy, but not a thick, heavy tempered glass base like my previous Samsung. The only downside-side is that it takes forever to boot up. That’s annoying. There may be some misconfiguration on my part due to the login to Google, so I’ll tinker with it some more, but as of now, that’s a flaw. So, in terms of picture quality, I give it 9/10. For glare reduction 8.5/10 (new Samsung is still better). Configuration, controls/menus, and customization, I give it 8/10 (non-tech folks may want to go with defaults and quick set options). For the base, I give it 7/10. I give the boot speed 4/10, and will update if I find a solution. Overall, I recommend highly if you’re mounting it on the wall, in a bright room, and are looking for great picture quality. The only warnings are for those that are technically challenged or highly impatient.

THE TV IS OUTSTANDING!
EDIT: The TV is AMAZING. The review still goes out to Amazon since it was shipped and sold by Amazon and Amazon Resale. The picture, colors, sound and everything is amazing. Especially for the kind of upgrade I made going from an older model LG smart 4K HDR TV. It is worth it! The size is perfect for my room, though maybe the 65inch would of been a slightly better view/size. But I am more than happy with it! It is comparable to even some top tier TV's since this is considered a mid-tier TV and what sold me is some youtube videos of it. Again, the Sound, Image/Color, Smoothness of the TV is worth it! ---------- I thought I'd be saving money from buying a "Used - Acceptable" condition TV from AMAZON who I could trust in shipping something that would arrived in the condition they've mentioned, BUT NO. They did a terrible job checking the TV if it had adequate protective packaging before being sent off. All it had was on one side of the display screen a cardboard with a thin piece of foam and the bottom a bit of the foam, but the surrounding had NOTHING else to protect the TV. It would OBVIOUSLY move around during shipping and get damaged but of course they didn't care. They couldn't put more protective material in on their part, sadly. They just sent it off to waste my time, take my money, and now I have to wait on my refund because of their fault... I had to waste my own time and gas to return it and I went again to BUY the TV AGAIN but this time, in a more better condition, "Like New". Still waiting on refund though. But you would think they would make it up to you or something but nah, they wouldn't do much. Even the delivery driver (FedEx) looked worried and wanted to make sure it wasn't his fault as the box looked destroyed and the power cable sticking out of the box (and a missing TV remote) and mentioned this is exactly how he received it. It was my first experience with "Amazon Warehouse" to receive something like that. Buyers beware of buying "Acceptable" condition items, because protective packaging might not be there. There was no mention in the description either!

Solid bang-for-your-buck TV
I've had this for a few months now, and I can back up all the in-depth technical reviews you probably saw before getting to mine. The picture quality is phenomenal, especially for the price. I can't do the picture justice in this review, so I really recommend looking up the proper technical reviews, this TV is definitely the value-for-the-money they all laud. Plus, the sound is honestly really decent for built-in speakers. There are two little subwoofers on the back, so it has a pretty surprising amount of soundstage. GoogleTV is a pretty good and versatile TV OS, and this TV seems to run it without lag. Easy to use, looks sharp, honestly a great overall value. The only downside, and I can't take off a star for this since it's a pretty niche concern at this point, is that TCL dropped the 3.5mm audio jack on this TV (and probably more new models). It was a lot of trial and effort to get an HDMI setup that was on par with my old system, but I got there in the end. But it was frustrating to have to switch my audio setup around.

Can't find a single complaint in my experience
I'm so impressed by this tv, I felt compelled to leave a review. I shopped for quite a while and read a lot of reviews before this purchase and I couldn't be more happy. I'll lead by saying I have very limited experience with OLED panels, aside from seeing them on display in store. What I do have experience with is high end lcd panels. I have to say that mini led is a huge leap for her content. It's not quite OLED but compared to the older TV it's replacing that had local dimming zones, the contrast is night and day. Hdr content pops so hard " I can't believe it's not OLED" one major advantage it has is peak brightness, this tv can get so bright you can hang it in your sunroom and still enjoy hdr. The gaming experience is just as good as other media, my games have never looked this good and when setup properly, input lag and latency is comparable to my 1080p 240hz gaming lg gaming monitor. The UI is decently snappy and I am quite partial the the Google software. Makes pairing Bluetooth devices and adding apps a breeze. The entire UI of the TV is very well thought out and streamlined, just pay attention to the pop ups while first navigating the setup. I also can't go without mentioning the sound, my setup is not ideal, I have the TV at the foot of my bed near the middle of the room and the sound is still good enough I haven't felt the need to turn my Klipsch speakers on unless I'm watching a movie and want all the theater experience. There are actually two small subwoofers on the back of the panel that manage to make ample bass even out in the middle of the room, I can only imagine that if this TV was close to a wall I wouldnt need an external speaker setup at all. There are settings to add an external subwoofer to the internal speakers and hope to try that out in the future. So if you're on the fence about a purchase and this TV is checking the boxes for you, don't hesitate, I have zero complaints.

Great 98in tv!
I love this tv! I bought this right before the Super Bowl 2026 and researched a lot of different 98in tvs. I'm used to buying Samsung or LG and initially was reluctant to the TCL...mainly because its new to me and I didnt really know much about it. This 98in TCL behemoth is just as good (if not better) than many of the other big name tvs out there. The build quality, picture quality, and sound is exceptional. I bought my mom a 75in TCL for her house and she loves it as well. I'm going to buy another TCL...probably the 85in for our bedroom. I'm a new TCL fan I guess. Overall I give this tv 5 solid stars.
